"Oh, it's in an old bank vault and it looks cool!" Who cares. Watch out for all the hipsters on here that keep giving good reviews for this place because it "has a cool atmosphere." The place "looks cool" and "nostalgic" so this bias influences thier opinion on actual substance. This was our second trip here, I always give every... More

This was BY FAR the best dining experience I've ever had. I brought my parents here for a nice dinner in downtown Denver and The Broker did not dissappoint! Stellar service, and I mean STELLAR. A beautiful 4 course meal at The Broker with a Groupon is definitely five star dining on a budget! Fantastic deal, absolutely amazing staff and... More

We visited The Broker for our 25th Anniversary. This is an elegant place for a nice and quiet dinner, the atmosphere is refined and classic. The idea of having the tables inside the vault of an old bank with the original boots is a very original touch. All the Staff was really friendly and they did an excellent job. The... More

This restaurant was just okay. We are foodies and came in with eight people on the $89 special. Salmon was dry, steaks were so small they were hard to see on the plate, caesar salad was meh, and the desserts (creme brulee and mousse) were nothing to write home about. The broccoli tasted frozen. Crab cakes were flavorless. We were... More

Great atmosphere!!! Set in and around a huge old bank vault, the banquettes were so turn of the century cozy and romantic. The cocktails were good. We had bruschetta and it was ok. The main plates - both steaks were perfectly cooked, tasty and as tender as could be. Salads & Sides were good. Chocolate moose was not so good.... More

It's been a couple years since I've had a chance to visit The Broker again, but we had a knock-out experience with great service. Still a rich atmosphere with the privacy of enclosed booth dining. They don't advertise it too much, but they always have a $89 deal for Two (total) that includes 3-courses (HUGE Bowl of Shrimp, Entree, Dessert)... More

I have tried a few places in downtown Denver for Happy Hour. The Broker has the best prices. The well drinks are only $3.00. A plate of nachos is big enough for two people and only cost $7.00. The ambience is wonderful. You are in an actual bank vault in a basement. It is small and intimate. I expect four... More

Had a nice prime rib after a very shrimps appetizer that required a lot of work to peel. Maybe it's cause I am a mile high but that's too much work for me (the shrimp). The vault is cool. The staff is exceptionally keen and alert. Feels old fashioned but I think that's the idea...

Service was great! Unfortunately the food wasn't. As a native Denverite I have gone to the Broker for 40+ years. Used to be the best in Denver, not now. The shrimp had a thick shell on the tail which is normal, but there was also a thin shell over the rest which meant you had to peal every shrimp completely.... More

On a whim decided to try someplace that served prime rib. Believe me, they did not disappoint. After a short wait we were seated in the vault. The service and the food was first rate. Believe me while in Denver you must try this unique experience.

Description
The Broker Restaurant is one of the oldest dining institutions in Denver. Located in the basement of what was once the Denver National Bank Building, this restaurant has become an international destination for old world dining. Prepare to indulge in a huge bowl of peel and eat Gulf shrimp that comes with every dinner entree. They are still famous for their elegant private dining and business dinners. Make sure to ask to tour the old vault and numerous private dining rooms.
