Food was great, and the server had recommended the pot roast as the specials did not appeal to me. The pot roast was tender, delicious and very enjoyable. For dessertI had the coffee milk shake and it was think and delicious. The waitress was extremely attentive, it is nice that they leave a carafe of water on the table so... More

I would give this place a solid 3.5 stars if that was an option. The menu includes a lot of home cooked favorites like meatloaf, mac 'n cheese and roasted chicken. Surprised at the variety of the drink selection considering the traditional menu. Definitely did not expect to see a caipirinha on the menu! One person ordered the lobster roll... More

I'm in Denver for a business conference and for lunch I've tried to find tucked away gems within walking distance from the hotel. This little dive located uptown was a bit of an uphill haul but well worth the walk. The iced tea was great - I even got some to go. I had the fries for an appetizer -... More

A friend had recommended this spot and now I know why! A small parking lot is immediately adjacent to the property or you could just walk/ bike in the downtown area. It was not too packed but I hear Sunday brunch is very popular. The herb chicken was awesome and I will be back for more.

Food was great. Enjoyed the real New England clam chowder, pot roast dinner and apple pie desert! Servers and management were incredible. Attentive, kept checking on us, and just fantastic. Highly recommend this establishment. You won't go wrong!

I did not have a lot of expectations of this place, being in town for work. I would say the thing that sets this restaurant apart from others are NOT the entrees but the apps and desserts. My party was split down the middle between those who loved the fried pork should er dusted with powder sugar and those who... More

My wife and I stopped in here for lunch. It's an old fashion type of place. My wife had the Monte Cristo and I had the Cubano. No complaints they were both delicious sandwiches. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

....... Excellent Mac and Cheese! Two of us ordered the crispy fish sandwich on a brioche bun. Nice idea but the crust ws too well done and sandwiches bland. Very nice waiter.

I had the fried chicken dinner which was nice, standard, diner food. My daughter had the happy hour special cheeseburger, beer, and fries and her total was only $7!! Both of us like our food. Looks like it would be a nice place for a crowd of 6 to 8.

Met up with the family here for dinner and drinks. Good happy hour specials. Food was good, wait staff was good, atmosphere was good, drinks were good. Very good all around, I'll be back. This would be a good place to take a date.

Description
What are your first three food and drink related visits when you head to your hometown? What do you order? Fried Clams from Kelly's? Supreme Sauce from Raynor's? A slice from Joe's? A take out order of a green-chili cheeseburger from The Owl Cafe? Maybe it's that hot dog from Pink's or those sticky ribs from Thelma's. Or do you head home for a bowl of Mom's chicken soup and brisket? We return to these classic spots for the comfort, the subtly unique flavor, the consistency, the familiarity, and the memories of both the food and the experience. Only one place can set the standard for certain foods. Lovers of food have their own "greatest hits collection." We yearn for that blissful moment that uses the powers of food, smell, sight, taste, and memory to take us to a happy place; that after school hangout, the corner deli, the pizza place and sometimes even Mom's kitchen. Steuben's is named after a restaurant in Boston that my Great Uncles, Max and Joe, opened in 1945. Steuben's became a famous Boston restaurant, nightclub, and hotspot from the 1940's to the 1960's on Boylston Street. The Vienna Room, The Cave, and The Blue Room were all part of the Steuben's space and hosted Big Band, Jazz, and Swing groups with The Rat Pack, Proms and Sweet Sixteens and more. In its prime, Steuben's was the center of the Boston dining and nightlife scene. Steuben's, Denver, is a restaurant that respects the history of its name and the core ingredients of the American Regional classics we have attempted to recreate. These dishes are America's cuisine and American's interpretations of the dishes of our diverse cultural heritage. We have enjoyed the endless debates, opinions, stories, research, consultations and food memories that have led us to the opening version of the Steuben's menu. Eat at Steuben's. Take-Out from Steuben's. Drink at Steuben's. Feel at home, in Denver, at Steuben's.
