I stopped for breakfast at Oscar's Cafe and was promptly welcomed by friendly wait staff. The Cafe has a Diner feel. They serve only breakfast and lunch. Menu selections were varied and fairly priced. I ordered an omelet with their "famous" hashbrowns. It was prepared promptly and tasted great, not greasy like in some restaurants. The location is small, but... More

I really liked the atmosphere. It was old style, and had old pictures on the walls, and had a train running around the wall above. The food was very good, and there was a lot of it. I had just gotten out of surgery, and it was afternoon, but I got a wonderful omelet with sausage, mushrooms, and cheese for... More

Oscars had good food. The wait staff wont seat you until your entire party is there, so don't even try it! The breakfast was good, but adding sides got pricey quick. Its in a little strip mall just outside of the downtown area, so not as exciting as eating on Main St., but worth it for the good food.

We eat here whenever we visit Durango. Biscuits and gravy are delicious! I ordered the Tio Omelette which has their chili verde sauce on it. YUM. Very small dining room and it's super cramped in there. Avoid Saturday or Sunday morning if you can because it's really busy.

This is a simple cafe with basic choices and a single daily special. Four of us were here yesterday for breakfast and found the service good, choices basic and food just "ok". The restaurant space is small, tables are cramped for 4 adults and the place is lightly grungy...bathrooms are filthy. Located in a stip mall near the train, this... More

After reading reviews we decided to try Oscar's instead of The Durango Diner. We loved the décor which took us back in time. We ordered the Colorado sausage patties and after tasting I immediately remember my childhood sausage from Jimmy Dean Sausage when he owned the company. My mother grew up with Jimmy Dean so we ate only his real... More

The best French toast I've ever had, heavily coated in eggy coating with just the right amt of cinnamon and grilled to have a little crust sprinkled with powdered sugar. Served with warm syrup which I just couldn't use as the taste was so perfect without. Hubby's pancakes light and fluffy. Eggs perfectly cooked. Tasty sausages links. What more could... More

Sightseeing in Durango landed us at Oscar's Cafe. The inside is extremely small but that didn't deter customers from coming. We were immediately sat and handed menus. Quite a few choices on the menu, at fairly decent prices. Portions were generous. Staff were friendly and overall attentive. We would definitely go back.

Whenever I am in Durango, Inlook forward to the crisp Mountain morning air AND a cup of coffee with breakfast at Oscar's Cafe. Don't let the line intimidate you; folks are served well and fast. It is worth the wait. The most delicious French Toast I have ever eaten (crispy coated with a touch of cinnamon) and all the favorites... More
