I was here with a large group (9 people on a business trip). The menu offered a lot of options, with some gluten free items. They serve peanuts as an appetizer and their are peanut hulls all over the floor. I had wild Alaskan sockeye salmon with a delicious risotto, although my asparagus was cold and slightly under-cooked. Overall, it... More

Place was packed when we arrived for lunch on a Sunday. Slight wait but we managed a beer at the bar first. Nice selections and great bartender. After short wait, we had a good seat, good server and lots of choices. Burgers, tacos, home made chips with blue cheese were a hit especially with our 17 year old. Some real... More

Actually ate here twice on our recent visit to Durango. Food and beers were great and the service was really good too.

Steamworks has a little something for everyone - good beer and an extensive menu. Perfect place to relax for a beer and a bite after a day playing in/around Durango. Popular with locals and tourists.

Several brews to choose from, full bar, menu and a 30 minute wait. Seems to be one of the more popular spots in Durango. We had a burger is was very good. A tad noisy for me.

As a vegetarian, I'm always looking for a place i can eat something yummy, while everyone else gets to enjoy what they like. The menu here had a quinoa burger on it, and let me tell you, it was fantastic! My boyfriend had the chorizo burger, and we both had the Cajun fries. We were there on a busy Saturday... More

Disappointing NY Strip Steak. It was grisly and not very tender. They offered to cook another steak and it was only marginally better. They need another supplier. The Greek salad was very good. Many positive comments about it.

There is always a wait at Steamworks, but it's well worth it. It's a fun atmosphere, the food is pretty good, and it's a great place for families. It's casual and can be a bit noisy on the weekends, but that's part of the fun. Love the peanuts before they bring your food.

Able to comfortably handle a group of eight with good service, decent food and above average beer. (I figure most people will be here primarily for the beer.)

We went on a weeknight. The place was jammed full. Always a good sign. Had a bit of a wait but the food and the BEER were worth the wait. They have Peanuts in a shell to snack on while you wait. Of Course that creates the thirst. Burger were very good. Tried a couple different beers. Neither disappointed us.... More

Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.
