The place is amazing with an old fashion feel. The staff are super nice and really make for an enjoyable environment. I had at the elk tenderloin and my wife had the lamb chops both were exquisite! cooked to perfection no disappointment at all. Highly recommend this restaurant for couples dinner dates and or just a wonderful evening out.

Though we are locals, we went to the Mahogany Grille in the historic Strater Hotel today for the first time. It had recently started serving Sunday brunch and we tried it. This restaurant is located in one of the most attractive and historical parts of the Hotel. The hotel is one of the most upscale Victorian era hotels in the... More

This was a decent breakfast, nothing gourmet or novel, but decently prepared. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room itself is charming and pleasant with some unique details. It was certainly better than the hotel restaurant at our hotel.

We spent the night at the Strater Hotel and enjoyed both a great dinner and wonderful breakfast in the grill. The service was great. I think they hire local college students and they are so well trained

I must say I had only eaten breakfast here and it was just an average morning meal. Dinning alone, the servers were attentive. People staying at the Strator made up the bulk of customers with the included breakfast plan. All in all, decent place to start the day.

This used to be our favorite restaurant in Durango. We stayed a week at the starter, and had breakfast most mornings - it was included. The food was so-so. Not bad, but not great either. I tried multiple times to get them to cook the hash browns (you know, "brown" in hash browns) to no avail. Sausage and bacon undercooked,... More

This is a gorgeous little restaurant in the Strater hotel. Wonderful food with great ambiance and character. You can view great old architecture and beautiful stained glass while you eat.
