We ate here twice during Spring Break. The food is very good. We beat the mad rush for dinner the second time. The first time around we were invited to eat past the bar area at a small table. The service both times was good. The ambiance, food, and price is mid-range to up-scale for our typical dining experience.

We were looking for good Italian food and a place with a full bar, and this was the perfect find. The menu had something for almost everyone; my husband and I are vegetarians, and there was plenty to choose from. The servers were kind and helpful. I do recommend the Italian Margarita if you are into a citrus-y drink with... More

Nice little Italian place in downtown. Service was good as well as food. The fish and special pork chop were excellent!

It didn't start well. At all. The hostess was. A (insert b word). She not only wasn't interested in seating us in a nearly empty restaurant, she was downright annoyed that we were bothering her by coming to the restaurant. Turns out, she's the manager! We sat down and agreed: if things didn't dramatically improve, we were leaving. They most... More

We went to Mutu's for dinner one of the nights we were in Durango. We were pleased with the food, service and ambiance. I had the Deep Dish Lasagna and my husband had the Spaghetti with meatballs. He had me try one his meatballs and they were really, really good. My lasagna was great. We also had salads and split... More

Start with a complement or two. The atmosphere in Mutu's is terrific. Huge, high ceilings, seating on two different levels, lots of space between tables. Sara was a good as a waitperson gets. Unfortunately, then there was the food. Dinner for two. We started with the antipasto plate. Visually, it was wonderful. A giant pile of shredded lettuce served as... More

Love their home made bread. Had the veal porcini which was to die for. Lady had the mahi mahi and loved it. Sarah the waitress was great with her suggestions and friendliness. A block above the bustle of downtown, more relaxing.

We were traveling on but spent the night nearby and decided on Italian Food for dinner. The ambience was wonderful and open in feel. Our food was outstanding and our waitress made a great wine suggestion for us. The cannoli was excellent for dessert as well. We would definitely return.

This is a neat and very popular restaurant and a definite favorite of the locals. The food and drink are excellent, and the service is very good. It has a nice atmosphere and is highly recommended. We sat at the bar, and it was fun.
