What a cute place is this property. It is a tiny cottage with a thatched roof and really lovely to look at and spend some time in. The tea rooms serves basic pub food and there is a tiny garden at the back. I would recommend that if you are passing through Alwalton, drop by and spend a while here,

A small tea room above the post office and store in an old thatched cottage. We visit this tea room whenever we stay at the Ferry Meadows Caravan Park. A leisurely hours walk from the caravan site. We always have the cream tea. A large warm fruit scone with a pot of jam and a generous portion of clotted cream.... More

I have been to this tea room a few times, very nice each time. I always get the high tea which is a sandwich, a scone, a cake and tea or coffee for around £7. Great value and food is lovely. The setting is cute, lots of little ornaments and old looking items. Service is always good and a family... More

We stopped en route from Surrey to Yorkshire for lunch instead of the normal petrol/service station rubbish. What a little delight. A cute, quaint little thatched building with a lovely range of lunch items. We had jacket potatoes with a fresh salad and a scone with jam and tea. Lovely service, friendly staff and great food. Good value too £20... More

Just off the A1 as you drive to the Holiday in or the showground. Quintessentially English and ideal for a photo opportunity...pity I didn't take one!

Discovered this lovely teashop through friends. We were treated to an absolute feat that included sandwiches, warm scones, fresh strawberries and lovely cakes. Unlimited cups of tea and friendly service. Incredibly not expensive. The venue is a pretty room above the Post Office, small and cosy.
