Great food and service at this fine cafe. Been going here since I was a little kid (50+ years). Everytime I come back to visit I make sure to have breakfast here. Can't go wrong with the service either.

We have been to the Golden Burro a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is always consistent and good and there are always some specials on the menu. There is something for everyone. This time we both had the breakfast burrito which was amazing and we shared a cinnamon roll which was huge. By the way, don't... More

We stopped in to the Golden Burro on a trip antiquing through Colorado. We were drawn in by the cute sign and interesting atmosphere. It really is a cool place to sit in. Sadly, the food did not measure up to the service or atmosphere. There were three of us, and only one of the three really enjoyed his meal.... More

I was underwhelmed. The food and service meshed with a typical diner experience. The food was quick and greasy. The server was nice but didn't connect with us or think with a customer perspective. Average, not special experience all around.

Our group had Saturday morning breakfast here and it was wonderful. Cool vibe and atmosphere, delicious waffles, good service. Would eat here again if ever in Leadville for another visit.

Burgers, chili, soup. Family friendly and good food. Leadville is an interesting stop on an interesting drive.

The history and reputation of the Golden Burro are best defined by the amazing size and variety of the fare offered for breakfast. They have a cinnamon roll that will blow your mind in both size and taste! Lunch and supper specials are available. Check out the historic photographs and exhibits about the early days of the mining town!

A Sunday afternoon in November, so it was not crowded. Three waitstaff on duty, and It was really hard to get service. Burger looked as though it came from a package of frozen patties and was tasteless as were the french fries. Small, tired-looking slice of tomato, some red onion, and a slice of iceberg lettuce. $10? My dining companion... More

The first thing that stands out is the building and decor. You feel connected to this establishment's past somehow. We immediately felt comfortale. The place was PACKED! Hard to understand the mediocre reviews I read. Some people just can't be pleased, or they expect too much! The service was awesome. Our waitress was a complete sweetie. She payed perfect attention... More
