If your looking for a place to stop for a bite to eat and a drink this is the place to go. The Saloon is decorated like a scene from a Wild West movie. Doc Holiday actually played cards here and even shot and killed several people in this saloon. Has a lot of history and is a fun place... More

If you are looking for one place that gives you a sense of Leadville history and the Boom Days that created it, The Silver Dollar is the one place you cannot miss. The walls are lined with pictures of everyone & anyone in the history & growth of Leadville. A great place to wet your whistle and relax and meet... More

Leadville has a long mining history back to the late 1800's when it was a boom town. this saloon captures that history with the atmosphere inside. so it is very interesting to go in and see it. although it is a bit run down. since it is a saloon, have a beer or two. would not recommend it for dining.... What a cool place! We came in and were pleasantly surprised at the overall look and feel of the "Old West" feel. Our bartender was so nice and gave us money for the jukebox. The drinks are great, limited menu for food. However, there are usually a few food trucks parked right outside to feed you. Lots of antiques and... More

This was my first stop after setting up camp on a recent trip to Leadville. I poked my head inside and was drawn in by the décor. It's hard to describe all of the things on the walls in here, not to mention the beautiful, dark wood bar, walls and trim. Needless to say there is plenty to keep you... More

If you are looking for a fun place to fill your tummy and wet your whistle, you might want to visit this historic landmark in Leadville, Colorado. It has the original bar and accessories from the time of the old miners and outlaws. Lots of memorabilia on the walls. It even retains the original wood plank sidewalk outside. I was... More

Walking into this bar is walking into living history. The bar was carried there in covered wagon in the 1800's. Nice midway stop between aspen and Denver.

We drove through Leadville on our way to Aspen. So much history in this old mining town. My husband and I love stopping at local haunts so we had to check out the Silver Dollar Saloon. The building has so much character, original bar and mirrors from 1860, just so much history. We ordered a couple of cheeseburgers and beers.... More

After riding the train my wife and I tried it for lunch today. We love history and this place has some and has been around since early 1800's. My wife ordered a chicken salad with chili and I had rib eye steak sand. Philly style. Both average at best. Very limited menu and staff friendly. Go in and see the... More
