This is all about great coffee and meet int up with new and old friends. Good food for on the go and really friendly staff. Reliable internet. A locals favorite.

I wanted to give this 3.5 stars, but went up rather than down. The main reason for my not giving this place a better rating was that this is NOT really a breakfast cafe. A VERY limited menu and no table service.. "Breakfast" choices include just mainly bagels and croissant sandwiches, except for one very small and tasteless breakfast burrito... More

We stopped for just a cup of coffee. Bringing in our own cup saved $.10. The friendly communal table greeted us and made us welcome. Definitely a great stop on way to Estes Park.

I haven't been to Lyons since I was a little kid, and my family always travels to Estes Park through the Big Thompson Canyon. Now that the canyon is closed for reconstruction from the flood (closed until June 2017) I will be traveling nearly every day through Lyons on my way from home in Estes to work in Fort Collins.... This is a great one stop shop and you'll always get a great sample of the locals. I live in town and ended up here when my family stopped by for a visit. Nothing else was open for the late lunch hour and this was perfect.

I think they can sniff out the out-of-towners. Everyone else ahead of me in line got a friendly "Hey ___! How's it going today?!" while I was met with a curt "What can I get you?" when I was up. It was a Tuesday mid-morning, so not during any sort of busy rush. I ate inside and watched the staff... More

Had breakfast there on our way to Rocky Mountain National Park. Staff is excellent. Food served swiftly. The cafe is a 'real' place. Not like these boring corporate Starbucks-style places!

Stopped here yesterday for coffees and one cinnamon bun and liked everything about it! Stopped in this morning on the way back to RMNP for coffee and a bite for breakfast! Food is really good and so is the coffee selection. Definitely worth a stop if you are passing through Lyons! Two thumbs up 👍👍 for food and ambiance.

We loved our time at Barking Dog! Met the manager, such a wonderful young lady! Wife had the breakfast burrito. I had sandwich. Both were excellent. Wife's latte was good. My coffee was good! Rest treat. Highly recommended!

A great place to disappear as a tourist as the cuisine and the place is embraced by the locals. Tasty food offerings, I have had breakfast burritos, baked goods, and quiche. My universal quest of hot chocolate was answered with sufficient whipped cream and chocolate drippings on top. We were able to stay, and visit, and didn't feel rushed, and... More
