Visited for breakfast on a Sunday. Wonderful atmosphere and amazing food. The homemade bread and eggs benny were out of this world--a little spice in the hollandaise made it so memorable. Great espresso, too.
Just went here for breakfast for the first time and man was it good. I got the Sunday Benedict (avocado, tomato, bacon) and can I just say yummmm! The place itself is really cute with lots of beautiful art for sale on the walls as well as fresh bread and pastries for sale. I'm already planning when I can go... More
Quality and varity are a signature trademark for the Absolute Bakery, Macos, CO. Their unique breakfast and luncheon menus along with a variety of home baked goods attract folks from far and wide... a "must" if traveling Hwy 160 in SW Colorado. One downer: they probably had the best buck wheat pancakes in the Rockies, the recipe was changed. Now,... More
The location is in an old bank building and very causal, low-key, and authentic. The interior is probably original wood flooring with late 1800s style high ceiling and ornate tin tiles. Used books are shelved and for sale, and there's a wall covered with crafty items. Baked goods are displayed in a glass case and they aren't typical fare. I... More
Our motel recommended this place - and we are so glad we listened. The pastries we delicious- we got a bag to go. The coffee was delicious and I'm a coffee snob. But best of all, the green chili and eggs on potatoes. It's hard to find a reliable spot to eat in this area, but we will never make... More
Stopped here once for coffee and a pastry and again for a quick lunch. Everything is prepared fresh and priced reasonably. The bread is especially good! The staff is friendly. The whole place has an offbeat vibe that is fun. There is art for sale on the walls, books to read in a bookcase and most folks linger for a... More
Another great meal at the Absolute Bakery! I got their burger this time and have to say it was one of the best I had on the whole trip, great local beef, homemade bun, slaw, and potato salad. I love this place and always stop here whenever I go through, hungry or not!
Years ago we had seen this location but they were so busy we decided to pass on the wait, this time we were able to get a table for breakfast with no wait, glad we did, they food was excellent and the eclectic and artsy atmosphere was excellent, lots to look at while waiting, the house baked breads were excellent!
