This is a place that should always be in business. Their burritos are legendary, though you should probably share if you are watching your waistline. :)

We had dinner here. The place was not crowded but it was off season. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable (forget her name but she was from Las Vegas). There is a very nice selection on the menu. I had the duck which was excellent. My wife had duck and a chile relleno and really enjoyed it. I appreciate... More

Thanks for the review Jeff. We appreciate that you noticed our use of local ingredients and products. The duck is definitely one of our favorites too. Jenna is the server who took care of you so ask for her when you return. More

Overall, the staff and the atmosphere exceeded expectations. I wish I could say the same thing about the meal.

Wife and I stopped in for dinner while vacationing in the area. Knew the meal was not going to go well after tasting the chips and salsa. Chips were not served warm and had almost no salt, salsa was bland and tasted like it was out of a grocery store jar. The entrées were also very average. Go there for... More

The Ribs: The Best Ever! Not fatty, nor greasy. Perfect, very unique BBQ sauce. Fall off the bone. They have a great appetizer option for the ribs--just enough to let you sample so you can also order something else on great menu! Definitely try The Mexican Chocolate Cake!! Great bar vibe! You will not be disappointed!! I also had a... More

Great prices, really friendly people, very welcoming. Food was good. This is an old place so it has that lovely patina that age brings fun things on the wall. Prices reasonable. Do check your check, I got overcharged but they made it correct the next day so great service and management

Went to this restaurant as it was listed in the vail valley restaurant guide. We were sadly disappointed. We've had bad ribs before but nothing like these. Seemed as though they were overcooked in a crockpot and covered in some sort of bland tomato sauce. I guess we're spoiled, living near Kansas City and St. Louis. Skip the "saloon."

We stopped in a couple of times while in town and had the best time! The staff were super friendly and chatted with us for a while, giving us ideas about what to do in the area. Made us feel like locals! Lots of cool sports memorabilia all over the bar -would come back here again for sure!

I recommend sitting outside! The margaritas are wonderful. The nachos supreme are filling for two to share. The queso is delicious with your chips and salsa. If you are celebrating share it with your staff they are super in helping you celebrate~

Housed in a building dating to the late 1800's and operated as a public place since the early 1900's the Saloon is a great spot with a lot of character and remnants of the early days! They serve a mix of salads, sandwiches, burgers and popular Mexican dishes and its all good, especially the green chili. Good selection of specialty... More
