We went to Colterra for restaurant week with another couple. Everything was wonderful. The service was prompt but not rushed. I had the best lemon drop martini ever and my husband raved about his tequila/ port wine / lime and ginger drink. Sounds weird but he liked it so much he has tried to duplicate it at home. The food... More

Colterra was participating in Denver restaurant week, $35 for a three course meal along with wine specials like a very nice bottle of Cabernet for $24. As usual the service was excellent as we are led through the maze of rooms in this charming converted old house. I had a beet salad, beef bourguignon and a chocolate tart. My wife... More

Beautiful food quality with intensely-delicious and satisfying vegetables, rich flavors, clean, fresh fish and seafood, and a relaxing country setting. The service is usually quite good as well. Prices are a little high; I usually need about $50 for lunch, and I sometimes wish there had been a more generous portion of vegetables. However, this restaurant is a clear favorite... More

Lovely ambiance. Food quite good not outstanding. Service friendly. Very busy night and even so the food was delivered promptly. Nice cocktail and wine list. Glad to see local sourced food.

In the tiny town of Niwot, CO you'll find this happy surprise. I had brunch at Colterra with some friends recently and we all agreed it was a special experience. The food is fabulous, with interesting choices. The drinks are addictive, and the service is top notch. We asked for a change to a dish and the staff was very... More

I tried this place during one of my business trips last year. Although the food is certainly excellent, it's the atmosphere that really sets this place apart from it's competition. Whether you're sitting inside the main dining room or outside in the garden area, this restaurant has character. It's a great place for a first date, special occasion or even... More

We met local friends who made the choice of where to eat, and we were pleased with this place in every way. We are not true "foodies" but can recognize good stuff when we see and taste it, and everything we got here was indeed very good. We were unhurried in making our food choices and in our lingering over... More

I took my wife to this restaurant on our first date 4 years ago and at that time it was one of our favorites. We just went there last week and had a terrible time. The soup arrived lukewarm 10 minutes before the wine. My wife's beef and my fish were both EXTREMELY salty, but by this time we had... More

We plan this ahead for over a month. Our reservation was on Christmas Eve. I ordered a lobster risotto with seared scallops. The risotto rice was raw and tasteless. The waiter serve me without asking a prosecco which I thought it came with the menu as a hospitality drink or something but then later I saw it on my bill.... More

We have had several meals at Colterra and all have been fabulous. The atmosphere both in and out is very comfortable and pleasant. We have enjoyed dinners and lunches and would return 3 times a week if we could.
