The refried beans were watery and didn't taste like what I expect. Food was bland for mexican. Service was slow, slow, slow. I had to wait a long time just to get a drink refilled.

Asked for a chalupa, and it was the tiniest I'd ever seen. Price was reasonable, but I went away hungry.

good food, nothing special but typical Mexican food. Girasoles margarita was very good, my carnitas burrito with rajas was quite good. After 7 hours of mountain biking, there is something special about Mexican food.

Pleasant staff efficiently serving standard Mexican fare--nothing outstanding and nothing bad. We had tacos enchilada and chili relleno and tamale. The tamale was the best of these. A B+ tamale and C+ taco.

We were staving, this place was close to our hotel. When we walked in we should of walked out. When you walk in you feel like you've gone into a large office building/strip mall with terrible florescent lighting, no music. They told us to seat ourselves clearly no one had sections. After a few minutes we got chips and salsa... More

Upon entering I saw a sign for chips $4.25 a bag. Then I continued to browse the menu. Basically there's not a bargain here. I noticed the carpet was dirty. Also the waiter said I could not buy green chili for take out. I ordered the chicken avocado salad. It wasn't fresh. The chicken had the feel of a precooked... More

This restaurant is located on the side of other businesses and can be missed if you're just driving by. We stopped at one of the other businesses and found Los Girasoles, glad we did... The food is authentic Mexican and is some of the best I've had. The portions were almost too much to finish but we pushed ourselves because... More

This is a great local Mexican restaurant that should have more business! The food is delicious. Since I didn't want beans with my meal, they gave me the option of having a salad. Then I didn't want tomatoes, so they threw on some red peppers. They were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Family atmosphere too.

My wife and I were driving back home from Pagosa Springs to near Fort Collins. it was around lunch time, so my wife got my smart phone and started looking for someplace to eat lunch in Salida. She came across Los Girasoles and found it had pretty good reviews. We found it to be a down home and friendly place.... More

The food is good, but not special. They have a good assortment of beers--both domestic and imported. The house margaritas are not very good. The service is spotty.
