We arrived one evening when it was getting pretty chilly out about 30 degrees and this awesome restaurant had an amazing fire going right in the middle of the restaurant! The food was outstanding and the service was awesome too! We met the owner and it was just like we had known him forever. He was so welcoming and very... More

Walk in there to all the crazyness , there's stuff all over the walls and its a real gem of aplace, take lots of photos, they have a shop too. Try the ribs or a buffalo burger you will not be disapointed. Its open seven days a week and is good

This was recommended by people in Durango. We went up on the train and had a great meal. Specialties are the chicken fried steak and the peach cobbler. Location is right in town. Lots of memorabilia on walls with a mining/cowboy vibe.

We had dinner both nights at this location. It was incredible and our server, Erin was wonderful! Order the cobbler! You won't be disappointed!

Not only is the food and beer good, the interior of the place is a sight to see and the staff will keep you smiling for sure. If you are riding the train, get there fast as the place fills quickly. If you aren't on the train, time your visit in between trains. The place can get real crowded real... More

Fun lunch at Handlebars Restaurant in Silverton. We ordered their special chicken pot pie. It was great. The restaurant was crowded with all the train riders so we were seated with 5 other people. As always, we love to meet other travelers and hear their stories. The décor in fun and interesting. Make your way to Handlebars, it's fun!

First visit to Silverton and because it was mid May, several restaurants were closed. Handlebars was open and very busy. The atmosphere was great, highlighting the town's mining history. They were very efficient in dealing with a busy lunch hour, but we never felt rushed. Potato skins were excellent. Pulled pork was average. Would get the burger next time.

This venue looks great and is in the same building as an interesting shop - but it is CLOSED IN WINTER. So my rating is not complete, I will visit it again in Summer and probably change my rating - but for now, I was there and they were not, so how can I give it a good rating?
