We had an amazing dinner at Almresi restuarant. Everything that we ate was excellent from the pretzle to the kaiser schmeron. The spaetzle and schnitzle and port loin and short ribs were all amazing! Great dinner, great service. Warm and inviting environment.

Good service, good food, good decor and authentic dishes from Austria. I had the tomato soup and the schnitzel and all was great ! The presentation of the dishes is very original. I was expecting for them to offer the goulash, but they don’t offer...it.More

I got married that day and all I wanted was some nice dinner with my family and friends. We were only 5 people, it was so hard getting reservations even over a week in advance anywhere nice in Vail so we ended up choosing Almresi...because my husband worked there before and told me food was amazing. The host was super nice, we got a tiny table in a corner. We shared all the food because earlier we had some appetizers in our reception and we weren’t that hungry. Food overall was amazing. We ordered the käsefondue, (cheese fondue) which like always delicious but I liked the one they have at Alpenrose more because it comes in a hollow bread which it’s amazing. Then we had the BROTZEITBRETT, (its a pretzel with some charcuterie and cheese) very good quality , I would say it is to share between 2/3 people the most. Then we had the SCHWEIZER RÖSTI (rosti potatoe pancake and smoked salmon) this one super good, also if you are gonna share be between 2/3 people the most, the portion is not that big. And then we shared the SCHWEINSHAXE (pork shank) it was really good it pulls apart, it comes with potatoes a d sauerkraut, I would just have liked if the pork shank was a little more roasted/crispy on the outside and the sides on separates plates because the pork when you pull it apart would get mixed with everything. Then we had the SCHMORBRATEN (short rib and spaetzles) I loved this one. We had my favorite wine, Villa Wolf. And they gave us complimentary shots of a rosemary liquor tasted like and a strudel. Overall the dining experience was nice, food amazing, service was good. I definitely recommend this place but for a normal night not a wedding dinner that’s all.More

My wife and I recently went on a river cruise across Germany. We had many great meals at the towns and villages we visited. Since then, we visited Vail Colorado for a romantic get away. We dined one evening at Almrise and enjoyed a several...course meal that rivaled any dining experience along the Rhine and Main rivers. Every course was outstanding and very authentic. The service was very hospitable and transported us back to Europe. Highly recommend this charming restaurant.More

With many choices in Vail, for some reason we decided to go for German food. Since Pepi’s was full, we decided to eat at Almresi. The decor and ambience was great. We were very happy with the menu,....till we got the food. For 30+ we...could do much better in American restaurant. We are very familiar with German food and have chosen what we are use to and like. However to our dismay, food was very poor in quality and taste. We ordered red house wine with out asking for the price, our mistake....15$ per glass, not even good tasting, very sour. When we ask the lovely waitress if this was a house wine, she didn’t know, but answered that it was the least expensive one. After spending over 100$ for two, left with empty filling and stomach. So if one is looking for the decor of the place, this one is for you. However don’t waist your money if you would like to have a good meal. Trust me, this is nothing authentic about their food. Very disappointing.More

When we walked into Almresi we were transported into a quaint atmosphere that made us feel like we were in to the Alps! Our waitress Sarah was warm and funny. The food authentic Bavarian and delicious! You will not be disappointed if you like German...or Austrian cuisine!More

We had an excellent meal with plenty to chose from , good fresh food and service was also good. Like lots of places in Vail an assortment of Beers to sample.
