Great food and ambiance! We had some sashimi and sushi, not as entrees but as appetizers through the night. Great place to take it slow and have fun.

I was optimistic after seeing their inventive menu. The quality, taste, and presentation lived up to our expectations. We had trouble choosing from their sushi specials, but went with the Tuna wrapped around Shiso leaves w/ wasabi root and the Yuzu Kampachi. Both were beautifully plated and tasted amazing. We also had some traditional maki along with their Boom Boom... More

Are they kidding ! The level expected by the people that go to Vail is ridiculous and here they are. Terrible food, the sushi was terrible even the rice was bad. Not even the miso soup was good. Really !? Every other restaurant in town is better.

We sat at the sushi bar - chef was great and made us special rolls! It's always fun when you can make friends with the staff. Lots of fun, will return.

They weren't ready for 8:00 reservation. We waited 35 minutes for 4 small pieces of yellowtail and 50 minutes for one roll that was barely big enough to call an appetizer. Prices are twice what they should be and portions are half the size of most nice sushi restaurants. DONT GO!!!!

We waited an hour for 3 rolls, we almost left right before our food came out. Sushi was decent but for three fairly small rolls I thought it was over priced. The wait staff was nice and they even took care of one of our roll for our wait. $70 later and we were still hungry.

Staff was nice, but selections and finished products were disappointing. Asked for extra nori and were told it was $1 a sheet, so declined. Vail prices are crazy. Restaurant was half empty and it took too long to be served. We almost walked out.

If you want good sushi that is located centrally in the Vail Village then don't miss Yama Sushi. This is a locals favorite. Kind of a small restaurant but that makes it fun. Full Sushi Bar with lots of wine and booze to get your swerve on....Food is good and service is great. Awesome staff.

Yama Sushi in Vail on Gore Creek is one of the best sushi restaurants I have been to in the Western and Asian World, having had Sushi in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Singapore as well as all major USA cities. After a great day of Spring Skiing from the front to the back bowls of Vail Mountain, you build a... More
