My wife treated me to a birthday dinner here. We both to the Omakase dinner. Expensive but completely worth it. 8 course meal that got better with each course! Some of the highlights was the oyster starter, the Norwegian salmon, and the dessert. But the...seabass was amazing, the sear was perfect. If you are looking to treat yourself and have to money order this!More
It was so hot in this restaurant I could not even finish my meal which was good but way over priced.
I normally give a restaurant a chance and rarely give a one star review
They clearly don't care abut their clients or their employees...as it had to be much hotter inside than outside and I was so hot I was nausea.
It was an oven and not healthy to eat in such conditions. They are not flexible and just stay on the phone bank taking reservations with no personality or grace...not welcoming either.
Seems like they are in it for the money, living off the legacy of the name and cheap when it comes to controlling or investing in the proper a/c or if they have it they refused to turn it on. Which ruined a perfect excellent evening.
With so many mixed reviews you can see there is no consistency which is a problem.More
This restaurant has average food at inflated prices. The noise level is unbearable and they do not control the temperature either. Be prepared to sweat as if you were in a sauna.
The service is catastrophic. We had a 9.30 pm reservation and were seated...at 10 pm.
The first waiter appeared at 10.20 after we complained.
They brought us a steak we did not order. When we returned it, the waiter was rude and insisted we had ordered it. We will never return. The staff are rude from the hostesses to the last waiter.More
First experience of a Sushi Restaurant and i was not let down. The Waitresses explained the Menu to us and helped us throughout the night. We just kept trying different things. Food was fresh and tasty. overall a Great night.
This was our second trip to Vail (and Matsuhisa) and added some new restaurants to our list and this is still our favorite. Nothing about this place I didn't like. The atmosphere is upbeat and lively. Great lofted ceilings and giant windows, looking up at...the mountain. Perfect location in Vail Village. Enjoyed the diversity in the menu. Kids (ages 13 and 14) had a lot of options to choose from and they enjoyed several items on the menu. Our waitress gave great recommendations on wine and also chose our dishes for us. Her picks were spot on.More
A great place for a special night out .
The food is as good as Japanese as you’ll get anywhere.... with lots of menu choices that smaller Japanese restaurants won’t offer, like “black truffle bass”
In a word it’s sensational, but it’s incredibly noisy.
Not...cheap. But we enjoyed it !More
