Chef Jean-Michel Chelain is outstanding. We had a large group dinner at The Left Bank. The food, wine and service were all superb. The restaurant is located in the Sitzmark Lodge in Vail Village. I highly recommend.

At our group dinner for 40 people we had a choice of beef Wellington, lamb shank and chicken. All were very good. The portions were large. You might want to take some home. The fixed price of $60 included the entire, salad, tax and gratuity. Beverages were additional.

A superb dining experience. Dishes were perfectly presented and all were delicious. We started with the steak tartare and tomato soup and shared the Dover Sole. Finished with warmed pear tart. Service was excellent. Great ambience. Can't wait to visit again.

I would give them an Excellent except for the fact that there was a family of 8-10 near us, and all during our dinner, the 2 young ladies talked very loud andCONTINUALLY about which one of them had traveled more places and done more things. I REALLY don't believe the entire restaurant needed all this information. I am very surprised... More

Over the top service and food. A fabulous and romantic dining experience and a great way to dine on our last night in Vail. Dover Sole prepared table side, Lobster Bisque, Pear Tart, fabulous breads and wine...the Chef here obviously knows what he is doing. Truly a magical place...I was amazed at the artistry with the vegetable presentations....truly lovely.

I'm happy to report that Left Bank is back at the top of our list! After several rough visits and bad experiences with the front of the house we have had 3 or 4 excellent dining experiences! We have always loved the food and the quality does not fail or waiver! But the service has returned to its former impeccable... More

The Left Bank is absolutely amazing! Chef Jean-Michel has kept many of the former chef's dishes, and has added several of his own. He has also completely remodeled the interior, giving it a much more contemporary feel. For starters you can't go wrong with the foie gras (both the seared and terrine are to die for) or escargots (though can... More

The Left Bank is my favorite restaurant in Vail. Weeks before we left for Vail my daughter made a reservation for us to celebrate my birthday. No disappointment here. Our cocktails were perfect. We chose the house salad-so there would be plenty of room for our main course. Salads for us were just the right size. For our main dishes,... More
