We enjoyed the food, service, and decor of The Left Bank. We both enjoyed our first course (French Onion soup for him and escargots for me). I wanted trout but can't stand capers so the chef fixed a lemon chive sauce that was delicious. My...More

After a perfect day of strolling in Vail Village my husband unexpectedly declared he wanted french food for dinner...what? That's a new one. So we passed by The Left Bank, read their menu and the decision was made after we saw the Dover Sole Meuniere...More

We're thrilled our fresh dover sole was the perfect vacation and birthday treat! You deserve it. I'm delighted to know each component of that dish was prepared perfectly, from the whipped potatoes to the vegetable. Every meal should end on a sweet note, too --...More

Six of us. Lady who sat us took wine order. Expensive red wine came way too warm to enjoy. She argued that it came straight out of cooler. Very unfriendly and bad customer relations. Had her put in a bucket of ice water to get...More

Ronald, your review is very disheartening and concerning as we don't hear about experiences like this often. Whenever we do misstep, we'll do everything we can to correct it. It's a shame we weren't able to meet your expectations. I'll be looking into what went...More

This has to be the best restaurant in Vail. The decor is beautifully done, the service was exceptional, and the food was wonderful.

White tablecloth, candlelight, fine wine, and gourmet French food by the creek. Travel clothes, no reservation, and unfashionably early for French dining. The Left Bank was very accommodating when we showed up on their doorstep. Don't be fooled by the menu prices, the portions are...More

A beautiful restaurant with great service. My only criticism would be the wine list. Although extensive, there should really have been a house wine, or something under $100! I enjoy a good wine, but most were way too heavy for my taste. (My husband and...More

Stellar meal. All four of us ordered the pepper steak - all done differently - and all four pepper steaks arrived with exactly the subtle variations we requested. One of our crew had been here a few years back and he raved about the pepper...More

We walked in off the street and found, much to our surprise a truly world class restaurant. The bouillabaisse seafood dish was as good as one will find on any coast. The veal was equally exquisite. Highly recommend.

No, you do not need to wear jacket and tie but you may see a few guests with them. In winter you actually see guests in ski wear and even shorts in summer. It is not like it used to be. :)
