About
Just across the Covered Bridge in Vail Village is Bridge Street's warm, cozy and oldest steak house - Russell's. We have a friendly, relaxing atmosphere with wonderful Creekside dining. Russell's features dry aged Certified Angus beef, along with delightful fish entrees and world-renowned Alaskan King Crab Legs. One side dish that you can't pass up is our scalloped potatoes - baked with onions, bacon and cheese with a golden brown top. A lot of our staff members have been with us for 20 years or more. Come by and see for yourself why the locals and staff love Russell's. We take great pride in serving premier steaks and seafood in the most enjoyable and accommodating restaurant in Vail. I have dined at this hotel many many times last summer and I am now visiting Vail and called the phone number as I could not get a reservation any other way. The woman who answered the phone said we do not take a reservation...for one and said I could sit at the bar. Last year as I am solo all of the time they were very kind to take my reservation and I always gave them a 5 star review. I must say how disappointed I am. I had met the nice owner and his lovey wife from out of town and enjoyed many delightful dinners in the main dining room spending a lot of money and enjoying my time. Funny thing is Left Bank will welcome a party of one anytime and they do not make you sit at the bar they provide full service always...business must be so good and I am glad for them but this person who answered the phone was not there this summer and did not seem to care one bit...too bad I love this place but now it is a little offensive they do not support widows or a party of one although RESY does . We recommend the Surf and Turf! General Manager Michael was very friendly. It was a cool atmosphere despite COVID-19.

We returned to Russells during a recent trip to Vail to find that the food was as good as ever. The portion sizes are reasonable and the food is all flavoursome; it is all well seasoned and clearly the meat is from a good source....I find the staff are attentive without being intrusive and just seem to be there when you need them.More

We were a party of six. When we arrived our reserved table was waiting for us. Our server was very friendly and helpful and did a good job explaining the different menu options. Personally I had the bone-in ribeye which was cooked perfectly. My wife...had the Diane steak which she thoroughly enjoyed. We had a couple of bottles of 2012 Overture which turned out to be the perfect accompaniment. All-in-all we had a great time and enjoyed our dinner immensely and I feel very comfortable recommending Russell's to anyone.More

Grab a window table and People watch! Steak, Ribs and King Crab. All well prepared and reasonably priced. Right next to the covered bridge. Service was attentive and not obstructive.

We ate dinner after waiting for days for an opening. Make a reservation! The baby back ribs were the best I’ve eaten! The desserts, flan, hot fudge sundae were also great! Our table was next to the river, wonderful!

The food was very slow to arrive. Not the fault of our waiter ... they seemed understaffed. The potatoe and veg was cold. the steak was very tender and cooked as ordered. Ambiance was cosy. Service felt impersonal.

We had dinner last night at Russell’s the food was ok but when the bill arrived they tried to take advantage of us . Watch out ! The 18 per cent service was already charged and on top they charged it again .....when we complained...they put in 3 orders of extra king crab to try to arrive to the same amount. We ended up paying what we really consumed and asked them for a round of drinks and they said maybe next time . TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!More

This was a repeat visit and the New York steak was again perfect and exactly as expected. The service was pleasant and informal and the Stella Artois tasted as real Belgian beer. Sitting at the window overlooking Gore Greek gives a real holiday feeling.

Not a bad spot. There's a small bar where I sat with friends and a very cozy dining room. The ribeye was excellent. Other items on the menu looked very good as well. Prices are reasonable.
