Modesto"s is one of the better restaurants in the Norwich area (especially if you want to avoid those in the nearby casinos.). Menu is varied and fairly priced, service good and atmosphere pleasant. Self-parking lot. Have eaten here a number of times and enjoyed everything from Mexican specialties to lobster. Would not rate as exceptional fine dining, but Modesto's is... More

The food is top shelf at Modesto's! We live locally and visit at least monthly . This restaurant and chef could easily compete in Boston or NY! Italian, Mexican, classic American ( rack of lamb, steak and prime rib) ... the staff is warm, attentive and courteous . You won't be sorry you came!

My fiancee and I drive by all the time but never thought to stop. We were taken back a little when we walked in at first because the table settings look very fancy and expensive. We were extremely happy when we sat and saw the menu though. Almost too good to be true. The prices are super affordable. The cuisine... More

Food was good and location was good, I found the staff slow, it took a long time to get the check and it seemed that the manager was not interested in helping the wait staff

We’ve eaten here several times, and up until 9 months ago or so, it was among our favorite mid-scale restaurants. The quality of service has steadily declined in that period. Last night was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. Very few tables were occupied, and yet it took far too long for our server to even acknowledge... More

Stopped here after a ride in the country to see the leaves. The restaurant was mostly empty at 2:30 pm . A few couples were watching the football game. My wife ordered the seafood stuffed portobello mushroom and I ordered a bowl of chowder and calamari. The chowder arrived hot and was very good. My wife's dinner arrived and had... More

Italian and Mexican dishes were just wonderful. Servers were prompt and attentive. We were all too full to order dessert, but they looked wonderful on the cart. Maybe next time. We had reservations at 5:30, but they weren't needed at that hour. By 7pm it was much busier, and I would recommend them.

This place has been here for years. Th exterior looks a little run down but the inside is nice. Food, wait staff, seating is very good. Have eaten here several times and always good. They also have a full bar.

Nice dining room, good service and very good Mexican food. On the expensive side but worth the money since the food and service is much better than average.
