We wanted to go to a traditional Polish restaurant in New Britain, and picked Staropolska from other TripAdvisor reviews. It was fabulous. Excellent food. Great, friendly service. Really nice atmosphere. Could not have been better. 3 in our party had the Polish Platter, and 1 had the Stuffed Cabbage. Delish! Will definitely be back again!

Nothing better than being in New Britain, Ct., during the Lentil Season, before Easter! Starpolska is always a great final destination for Polish Cuisine and the comfortable old world European atmosphere after a day of shopping in the Local Polish neighborhood! It's like visiting our Polish Ancestry without having to leave our State of Connecticut! The Menu is amazing, and... More

If the mood strikes you to get authentic Polish food, this place is a must. Good America level service makes sure your cup is kept full and any extra condiments, such as more sour cream, are available when you want them. They also have a good bar with popular mix drinks and some originals also.

I would say I am a regular (dine here once every month or so) and during the summer, dine here even every other week. I've gotta give it to them, when it comes to making a traditional, Polish-style chicken breast cutlet, this place takes it home in the entire state of CT. They participate in local festivals and sell great... More

We arrived here just to try some of the Polish Specialties and was amazed by the high quality of the food! The soups were excellent and started the meal with such flavors and delights. Our waitress was prompt, courteous and gave us a recommendation for the different Polish beers. The place was very busy for lunch but we were served... More

Great authentic Polish food. Service is good and they have a great selection of European beer. Even the staff are Polish. Great place!

2nd visit to this gem. Both times for lunch. Worth a visit if you are anywhere nearby. Food is fresh like home cooking. Great selection and reasonable prices. If you like Polish food you won't be disappointed.

Since New Britain isn't exactly a must-go destination for tourists, I don't often review local restaurants. But I have to put in a good word for Staropolska because their food is consistently good. The pork cutlet with mushrooms and onions is always a good choice, and my partner swears that the golabki (stuffed cabbage rolls) are just like grandmother's. All... More

This restaurant has a full bar and a few small tables as well as bar stools if you need to wait to be seated. It is in the little Poland section of New Britain. Just as a note if you are unfamiliar with New Britain, only very good Polish restaurants can survive here as there is a large Polish population... More
