Found this gem on a road trip back home to NYC. It was my first time trying Chinese-Spanish fusion and it did not disappoint. The nice Chinese man who took my order made some good recommendations. It seems to be a thing here in New Britain to combine Chinese takeout and Spanish food. Chinatown Express Kitchen is no exception having a menu that not only offers the usual American Chinese fare but also Spanish favorites. There is an ice cream bar as well. We enjoy the value and variety offered at Chinatown Express. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced with the chicken with nuts (currently almonds) a tasty favorite. They sell individual flans for dessert which are as good as Mama used to make. Not fancy, but good food at good prices.

First, this restaurant is more expensive then other Chinese restaurants. They also give you less spare ribs then other restaurants. Then they put some horrible red sauce all over the ribs and rice... Every single person in my family ended up with Upper and lower GI issues after eating here (all ordered the same thing). We all had to point to the picture on the menu as communication in English was practically impossible. Menu said served with WHITE rice and this was a straight out lie- tried to explain the mistake and they... More
