I've been to Caseus a number of times and they have a lot to like: their grilled cheese is out of this world, as are their fries, their mac and cheese, and, well, almost all their food. But, my experience is always tempered by the...More

There are over 100 unique cheeses, gourmet goods, spices, olive oils and preserves in this shop. Had the grilled cheese sandwich with yummy tasting melting cheeses on rye with field greens. Added the bacon lardons which added a nice kick. Closed on Sundays

Ok if you're in the neighborhood. Odd opening hours. Personally, I find the seating somewhat claustrophobic as it is mostly underground with low ceilings; others might find it cozy. I want to like the food (it's cheese, right?) but after 3-4 visits it just seems...More

My favorite restaurant in New Haven. Should be in the top 5 if you ask me. Have been here twice. Excellent pairings. Sometimes it is hard to get a table though

After hearing so much about Caseus, I was really excited when my boyfriend treated me to dinner there...I was looking forward to loving it--which unfortunately did not and never will happen, unless the owners take drastic measures. The bill for two amounted to 110 dollars,...More

Love love this place! Always has interesting specials but keeps the menu "go tos" as well. Shop next door has the best cheese around and features lots of other charcuterie products. Make a reservation or forget it
