This is a great place if you love cheeses. There is a good selection of great cheeses. Every dish has some kind if cheese in it. The Mac and Cheese was our favorite dish. The pork chop and pork belly were also outstanding.

We were visiting from Tennessee on a long New England summer road trip. We stopped to explore Yale's architecture. We were hungry and saw this Cafe while parking nearby. It was a beautiful sunny August day. The outdoor patio was inviting. We arrived and found...More

Stay for the food and leave with the cheese! While it can be annoying to show up off hours and have no availability or a long wait - it's worth it. Would definitely recommend reservations. The apps and meals are great. The ambiance is nice...More

After talking about the chemistry of cheese with a professor at Yale, I knew I had to eat at this restaurant. It is known for its worldly cheeses. I went during the lunch rush and was seated right away near the bar. I ordered the...More

I've been to Caseus a number of times and they have a lot to like: their grilled cheese is out of this world, as are their fries, their mac and cheese, and, well, almost all their food. But, my experience is always tempered by the...More

There are over 100 unique cheeses, gourmet goods, spices, olive oils and preserves in this shop. Had the grilled cheese sandwich with yummy tasting melting cheeses on rye with field greens. Added the bacon lardons which added a nice kick. Closed on Sundays

Ok if you're in the neighborhood. Odd opening hours. Personally, I find the seating somewhat claustrophobic as it is mostly underground with low ceilings; others might find it cozy. I want to like the food (it's cheese, right?) but after 3-4 visits it just seems...More
