You'll never go wrong with choosing Zinc! The menu is local, inventive, and fresh. The chef uses local products to create gastronomic delights.

This restaurant has been one of the most consistent places in the area for level of service and quality of food. The menu is attractive and interesting. Food is great and service prompt and professional.

Zinc was recommended as a good place to go for dinner in New Haven. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were warmly greeted and seated at a cozy table for two. Our waitress was very attentive without being overbearing. We each ordered a glass of wine. Our entrees came out piping hot and delicious. I had the tuna and my... More

The food is very good, but the noise level at a reasonable dinner hour makes conversation near impossible: it is exacerbated by excessively loud music [from the bar?]. Still, the orzo dishes in particular show the care and flair that keeps us returning to Zinc. We will try to choose off hours in future so we can enjoy each other... More

Zinc, not to be confused with Kitchen Zinc, will leave you impressed. Whether it's stopping by for restaurant week, enjoying a happy hour at the bar, or catching up with a friend for dinner, this Mediterranean, Italian, American Bistro will satisfy your pallette. I opted for a bourbon and club soda accompanied by the Lettuce Wraps. It was a great... More

I have never been here before and I am not sure I will go again. This place has New York pricing with small portions. Inside is nice and the staff at least the ones I had were exceptional. Parking on the street was a problem BUT they validate parking in the parking garages around the corner ... which was good.... More

We ordered the Organic Greens Salad and it was the highlight of the meal! Just SO tasty;) On to the sea scallops (3) we just okay in flavor and the hanger steak which was flavorful. Overall the attention of our server was lacking.....

Had a lovely evening at Zinc last night. A charming waitress. The food was balanced, tasteful and inspired. A bit noisy at first, but things calmed enough to have an actual conversation with a gentleman at the next table. We were some of the last to leave, but did not feel rushed. Highly recommended.

Being a vegetarian is sometimes a tad difficult when there is a fixed menu and the only options available were the fresh salad and the ever traditional "Mac&Cheese". Go for it! You'll want to order seconds despite the fact that the dish was humongous!

I am a fan of zinc because I feel like it is one of the most interesting menus in New Haven. There are plenty of good restaurants in the city but most are very safe or consistent as far as offering, besides maybe Mia's.
