Attentive staff that fills in coffee refills. Good breakfast a la carte. Wonderful view with big curtain walls.

Basic hotel restaurant is a basic hotel. Service is pretty good, but if you want a distinctive breakfast, try Heirloom down the street or even Claire's across the street

Went with a coworker. We were both extremely satisfied with both the food and the service. We wined and dined with a magnificent view of the beautiful skyline of New Haven. We enjoyed the uncomparable dining experience.

The views are really remarkable and most tables are aligned along the big windows. The service is a bit slow, but professional. Menu offer limited choices. I went for the panini and the overall result was not great. Good fries, but the sandwich was not good. The Malbec by the glass was OK. So worth going there once to enjoy... More

This is a lovely place, with a wonderful view of New Haven from atop the hotel. Ambience and service was excellent, the food very good. Altogether, a very nice experience.

We were staying in the hotel and decided to have breakfast at John Davenport's. Although there was a breakfast buffet we decided to order off the ala carte menu - big mistake. We waited 1/2 hour for our food and watched other diners who came in when we did endure the same wait.

I went to John Davenport's on Sunday, October 30th. The fantastic Robin remembered me from this summer as well as the vegan dish that I enjoyed. The chef Oscar was also fantastic and re-created the vegan summer dish that was no longer on the menu. Great food and great experience!

THE VIEW!!! What a great way to see the City and then watch the sunset. Everything was well prepared. We ate a combination of the following so that we could share and have a variety: cabbage & lettuce salad, deviled eggs, salmon with spinach, braised short ribs with mashed potatoes, corn bread muffins and a dessert that had whipped cream,... The Yale view of John Davenport's at Omni Hotel is breathtaking. The food is outstanding. The in-house smoke salmon is the best ( better than any other smoke salmon we've ever had before). For the 5 days we stayed at Omni, we have smoke salmon for breakfast every morning. For dinner, we've experienced Fried Oysters, Short Rib Panini, Roasted Half... More
