Good atmosphere and the dessert and wonderful views from the outdoor patio. The food is on average. I did not get anything special on taste.

The staff knew all the names of the "regulars" and were friendly as well as helpful to us "newbies!" The staff answered questions I had about ingredients in one of... More

This cafe is adorable. The staff was attentive, friendly, called locals by name and efficient. Staff and customers smiled. The food was yum! The pastries were explosive! I ate there every morning for four days. Fantastic!

Just a great experience, a genuine local meeting place. Stopped here for breakfast before touring the college.

Have to try love salad. Had not had one of these in many years. It was just as I remember it to be at Hughies.

My husband and I visited this restaurant yesterday with 2 other couples. One of the couples had fallen in love with it and convinced us to give it a try. Some ordered breakfast and some lunch but all were very happy with the food! The atmosphere is fantastic. You feel like you're eating in the living room of a friend's... More

During our trip to New London, acting on a recommendation, we visited the Muddy Waters Café, a quaint place that reminded us of a combination of Portland, Maine and Provincetown, MA. The food is simple, well cooked and served with a smile. The breakfast sandwiches are excellent and I personally recommend the oatmeal. They also serve a fine selection of... More

This is one place where we love to have lunch after we have been to Dr. appointments in New London! Even in the winter, the atmosphere & the food is wonderful. In the warm weather, we eat out on their deck that overlooks the Thames River & the AMTRAC railroad.

So the 8 of us were wondering the New England harbor village of New London, CT looking for a good place for lunch. Foreign foods did not set well with us on State St. when someone said they saw Muddy Waters Cafe on Trip advisor and its just around the corner on Bank St. So in less than a minute... More
