I went to Tony Z's with my family for pizza, place was not busy and service was slow. We had a variety of pies, three out of the four were good. I had asked if the bacon was pre-cooked and was told no, and if I wanted to be pre-cooked there was an extra charge, never heard of that. So... More

The pizza is good, but has gotten worse over time. Very oily, but tasty. Have never tried other dinners there, only the pizza. It is pretty highly priced, so a family of four plus can get pretty pricey (I would imagine) if you get dinners there.

Take out or eat in the pizza is always excellent! Ingredients fresh, and many different pies on the menu. We even purchase their dough to make our own at home.

Really a pizza joint, not an Italian restaurant. First visit, not sure we will go back. Bland below average food with slow inattentive service. The ziti with sausage was a disappointment, small pieces of over cooked sausage in a below average marinara sauce, eggplant parmigiana was better but the side of broccoli was one big lump of under cooked vegetable.... The pizza here is delicious. Bought back memories growing up, this pizza tasted just like the ones I used to eat over 65 years ago as a kid! Just the right amount of sauce makes this pizza terrific. The toppings are very generous and the crust was perfectly cooked. The antipasto my husband and I shared was very generous but... More

We eat here often because it is close by. The food is average. They always burn the pizza and the subs. They will not alter a simple salad or sub because they just don't. No one there is friendly...EVER! God forbid they say thank you or anything. The owner has never even breathed hello or a thank you to me... More

We get pizza here every couple months or so and it's not bad but not always great either. Sometimes crust is burned black sometimes its dry and sometimes its perfect. No consistency. We recently ordered subs and they were terrible. The bread was good but the meatballs were just awful. They were literally like salt balls and had that overcooked... More

Have eaten here numerous times, both in house and take out. Pizza is almost a cross between thin crust and thicker crust styles. Crunchy crust which I like and the sauce they use is very tasty. The subs are delicious. The meatball and sausage combo is out if this world. Not sure if the make or buy the bread but... More

Tony Z's still makes the best pie in the area. Authentic, New Haven style pizza in every configuration. They are however, the most costly in the area and they seem to be cutting corners in some of their offerings. Antipasto is not what it used to be. Service is still good and the pace is relaxing, but it could be... More
