Looking for a great place to meet your friends for lunch? Or somewhere to share a quiet dinner with your significant other? Abigail's is definitely the place for you. Casual elegance pretty much describes both the food and the decor. I have yet to order something that wasn't simply delicious! Try it. For sure, you won't be disappointed!

My wife and I go here 2 or 3 times a year usually for special occasions. For Farmington Valley it is a bit more expensive than average but it is well worth it. The menu has a wide variety of food and the food and service are always excellent. The menu includes quite a few seafood dishes, fish and meat... More

We took another couple out for dinner as a thank you for their help. We had a great dinner! Our server was excellent and made suggestions for all of us. The salads were fresh and they went out of their way to accommodate our gluten free need. You should make reservations though because you will wait if you don't. Worth... More

We were surprised to be a little disappointed by the food at Abigail's, since it was rated #1 among Simsbury restaurants and always seems packed. Our seafood dishes were a little overcooked and over-salted--not bad, but not what we were expecting in terms of creativity or quality.

Great old historic New Englan house. Eat a homemade chicken pot pie in front of the fireplace while sipping a nice glass of wine. Lunch meals are great and portions are big.

Abigail's is a lovely charming place, but I found the food pretty marginal given the price. Caesar salad was good but pretty uninteresting. Lamb was overcooked, not well seasoned, and on top of a mountain of rice...for $34 it should be excellent. If there are glasses of wine selling for $24 the quality of food should be top notch.

Abigail's cuisine is multi-layered, delectable and juicy. The salmon was cooked to perfection with herbs and squash puree. The Oscar side topping of asparagus, crab and bearnaise sauce was divine. The espresso creme brulee dessert was extraordinary. Seating was near a VERY noisy couple as well as in the main traffic area of the restaurant. Therefore we were NOT in... More

Stopped in for a bite for lunch in tavern, it was so good we went back for dinner! Mussels and French onion soup were great at lunchtime, and dinner was outstanding...beautiful old building, clearly a local favorite- it was packed! Not the place for a quiet intimate dinner, and be prepared to pay the price- especially if you have wine/cocktails... More

If you have been told over the phone that there will be no problem getting a table near a fireplace, and they have a few, you should not be seated at a table in a room on the side of the building without a fireplace and in the farthest corner besides. After asking for another table and being offered one... More
