Our favorite stop for a hearty breakfast off the grill. My favorite is their sausage omelet. I take mine half sweet and half hot with cheddar. Don't forget their potatoes.

Classic 50's real atmosphere...seriously, it's been around since then! My husband has been coming since the 60's, and these are the same great roast beef sandwiches he recalls. It's still in the same family, just the next generation(s). I love the hot roast beef with the gravy on the side for dipping while my husband prefers the cold. Always worth... More

On a recent late Sun. morning, our group of 6 settled into a well worn booth and tucked into piles of omelettes, pancakes, eggs of every form and superb house made spicy sausage patty and hand cut mashed potato cakes browned on the griddle. Yum, yum and yum. Been in same family for a few generations and they do not... More

Totally love this place. Amazing breakfast (get the hot sausage!) and the burger and fires are tremendous! I could eat 4 of these burger (they're on the small side) hot off the grill! I like to sit at the counter, poach a paper and spend an hour or so but do what you like. It's a total step back in... More

We enjoyed recent breakfast at this blast from the past. It was a straight-forward breakfast diner for us, with an extra patina of history. They haven't made them like this for awhile. The breakfast food was OK, nothing fancy, but delivered quickly and good for our family (french toast, scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, ham & cheese omelette).

Where else can one still get fried meatloaf on a Sunday morning? Stools and booths right out of the 60s. Dagwood Bumsted could be sitting next to you with Cookie taking the order. A visit well worth it - places like this and the Driftwood won't be around much longer - just watch out not all of the S&S's stools... More

S&S had been around forever. This is an original greasy spoon but the food is good and fun. The mashed potatoes versus french fries are the way to go. You will love them.

Step through the door and you're transported back to the 50's. This corner diner hasn't changed a bit since then, right down to the Formica counters and swivel stools. But it's the food that keeps you coming back. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast of eggs and homemade sausage patties along with an order of their grilled mashed potatoes with a... More

This is the real deal! Short order grill cooking at it's best. Crowded, unadorned, honest food without the trappings or pricing of fancy fair weather local spots. Thumbs up!

the only ones I have ever eaten that don't come back to haunt. only complaint - not enough filled flavors - only one a day. I can handle that.
