Once again I had a great dining experience at Cafe Sylvium. This time I enjoyed one of their veal dishes with a tasty mushroom sauce. The food is terrific and there is good value for the money.

I really miss good Italian down here in Houston and I make sure I get my fix when I go up the northeast. We had burrata prosciutto and caprese to start and then lobster ravioli and scallopini for mains, it was so so good! Our waiter was great and I think we were the last to leave! If you want... More

This small family restaurant never disappoints with delicious food with a great selection and friendly service. The wait for seating is well worth it!

This place gets little press but is always busy. If you like good Northern Italian try it. Ambiance is very alive with voices and laughter. Simple but warm setting, close tables but food always to come back for. The people who live in Stamford's Shippan section of town support this restaurant in a big way its legend is spreading beyond... More

Nick or Vince are there every night so there is never a bad night. A smallish place but there is a reason why tables are full almost every night. Everything is good particularly the veal and gnacht gnacht. You can't leave without having the nutella crepe.

First time here, and we're looking forward to coming back. There's a reason why Café Silvium is always packed: it's very good Italian food, hosted by friendly people who appreciate your business, and aren't those two elements among the most important when you dine out? We've been back once or twice, and left without eating after being told the wait... More

Had a late lunch there yesterday. No problem getting in since we got there at 2 on a Thursday. Service and food were excellent. Spent two weeks in Italy last summer and I cannot recall a meal as good as this one. Portions large with enough to take home--but we ate it all. Will be back for sure.

Arrived in Stamford Connecticut for a business meeting. Hotel recommended this restaurant. We waited for the shuttle to take us here. They had no availability at all. So we had no where to go. The host offered us a little table at the door entrance in the corner where people come in... they put a white tablecloth on it, brought... More

I was in Stamford for a conference. Never been there before and completely unaware we needed a reservation. The hotel did not advise. Not only did they accommodate us without a reservation, the service was great and my dinner was exceptional!! I haven't had such amazing Italian food in a very long time.
