First, we have eaten at the Pond House a number of times and the quality and service have always been good. But not this time. The Mother's Day brunch was a major disappointment. The selection of brunch items was much smaller than I expected for the cost. The quality was acceptable in most, but not all, the cases. The items... More

I love the Pond House - I live nearby and this is my go-to restaurant whenever I am in the mood for wonderful food, lovely atmosphere, great service. It is in the middle of a beautiful park a few miles from Hartford. The food is "New American" - very tasty and creative ways to make traditional foods taste wonderful. I... More

The Pond House Cafe was beautiful inside. The staff went above and beyond to take care of guest. Food was good, basic. Not a fan of having to use the restrooms shared by people visiting the grounds outside. Bride made beautiful bathroom baskets, that were available to any come coming in from outside the wedding.Would love to have a event here... More

That is what you should do before/and after a meal at this pleasant informal restaurant in Elizabeth Park. The view out to the pond is peaceful, and the nearby roses, dahlias, etc. the geese and the ducks next door should put you in a mellow frame of mind and banishing any city stresses. The menu is eclectic and well executed.... More

A group of six of us ate at the Pond House Cafe today for lunch to celebrate a colleague's good fortune. We were seated right away and things started off just fine. However, our server seemed to be a bit frazzled (granted, she was clearly covering too many tables) and she disappeared for long periods of time. I have eaten... More

Yes, a strange title for a restaurant review - but first impressions are the most lasting aren't they? With that said, upon arriving at Pond House for lunch on a chilly Friday - we had to wait to be seated - not bad - about 15 minutes. When seated, we were given a tablet to scroll our hearts away from... More

The class was very full. Everyone was nice and we worked well together in our group. The had it set up for 4 hand on cooking groups. We chopped and stirred then best of all ate. Our class included a couple of drinks so we got some shaking going on too. Definitely work would take another class here.

The food at Pond House is delicious. It really is. I've been for dinner and several times for my company Christmas party. I still need to go for brunch. The large event room is stunning and perfect for large events and wedding receptions. The food is always on point. If I had one reason for not giving 5 stars it's... More

With a friend who was having her first day out after a serious operation, we arrived about an hour late for our luncheon reservation and received a wonderful welcome and top-notch service. The food was fresh, interesting, and just what we wanted for our celebratory lunch. This is a really sweet place in a gorgeous setting--an oasis--in the middle of... More
