My husband and I ate here for the first time tonight and loved it! The servers were friendly & attentive. The food here is so good! Authentic flavors and large portions. We started with guacamole to accompany the chips and salsa. The guacamole was good but the salsa was the star of the appetizers tonight. It is not like any... More

We have been here mostly for dinner.. today luncheon. It's a fairly full menu with the usual dishes with a nice touch and.presentation. the staff is friendly and helpful. Service is speedy. The decor is very 'pueblos mexicana' relaxed and not intrusive but atmospheric. It is unhurried. In order near Willimantic, this gem.is not to be missed .

This is the best Mexican food we've had since we lived in New Mexico! My husband and I are now regulars. The food is not overly spicy, but I'm sure you could ask for extra heat. Every meal we've had has been delicious. I would suggest you try their guacamole to start - it's homemade and the best I've ever... More

Small, cozy restaurant with a fiesta decor. Great freshly made sangria, and fabulous salsa. I have had several of the shrimp dishes (camarones rancheros and camarones rellenos), quesadillas, taquitos, and enchiladas. My husband's favorite is the enchiladas mole. Good for lunch and dinner.

My wife did vegetarian and I carnivore. The service was well timed, not rushed. There was sufficient food and distinctive tastes and styles. I do not eat enough Mexican cuisine to develop regional tastes; however the food was picante ma no mucho, spicy enough and tasty. We shared a delicious flan for dessert! Yes a definite return on my list.

What a great place, right here in Willimantic! The waitstaff is nice, not pushy, at all, and the atmosphere is lovely! The music is low and not obnoxious, and all in all, it was a very nice evening. And great value for the price!!

This is the second time I have gone to 5 Demayo Restaurant, and both times it was very underwhelming. I only went the second time because friends of mine raved about it. I thought that I might have caught the restaurant on a bad night, or that I choose poorly. But both times I was disappointed with the food. I... More

The salsa is best I've ever had. Food is consistently tasty and exactly what I want in Mexican food - balanced flavors and spicy when required but never over the top. The atmosphere appears dark, but I've never seen dirty floors, dishes, or chairs (as happens in many, many other Mexican food restaurants). They aren't flashy, so the service might... More

The food was cold over priced and very small portions. We couldn't what to get out of the place. Then we went right next door to the Royal Buffet and had some awesome Chinese food. Thank God....
