When I want a great burger and a diverse selection of beers, we head for Willibrew. Located in a former post office building, the setting is dramatic with massive stone work and high ceilings. The bar is noisy but has a lot of energy as...More

They have great nachos and homemade brewed beer. Always have a different flavor. They have a bar or dining room so you and the family could have a great meal. Help is always friendly.

Arrived on a Friday with a party of 5. The wait was 15-30 minutes. We went to the bar to try and grab a few beers while waiting and it took forever to get someone's attention. I asked for a beer and a cider and...More

So yeah - I visit Willibrew at least twice a week. This past week my wife and I sat at the bar and had the Cajun Mussel's/Calamari (tartar sauce instead of marinara) and one of the specials (shrimp with a corn/chili sweet glaze). The food...More

Overall a good first visit. I arrived for dinner at about 6 pm with my wife and some family members on a Saturday night. The bar and dining room were full so we waited about 30 minutes for a table. The wait gave me time...More

We were looking for an interesting stop to break up a long drive. Googled "breweries near I-84 in CT" and hit the jackpot with this place. Well done and interesting in a former Post Office, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great beer and food. The pulled...More

Description
The Willimantic Brewing Company/Main Street Café is a living landmark restaurant and pub brewery located in Willimantic, in the heart of rural northeastern Connecticut. Our original Main Street Café was founded in 1991, and began operations as a small deli in the old Capitol Theatre building on Main Street in Willimantic, CT. Occupying both the lobby and concession area of the theatre, seating was limited to 50 people. After 3 years we were bursting at the seams and made the move to 877 Main Street, another historic building. There we expanded to a full service restaurant and featured American craft-brewed beers and an extensive menu. One more move was in the cards for us, and we made yet another trek down Main Street to our home in the current granite and limestone 1909 U.S. Post Office Building.
