Not bad.... I had cob salad this time and a beer. We met brother there, we often do as it is close to his home. The last few visits were disappointing however it seems changes are being made in the kitchen. It's a neat place, an old post office converted which gives it a lot of character. Nachos are popular,... More

We visited the Willimantic Brewing Company recently on a Friday evening. The restaurant was busy, which has been consistent over the years, and parking can be a little difficult with the one-way streets in the area. Craft beer choices were great, there was something for everyone in our group...IPA, Pale Ale, Seasonal...all were tasty! Food is good, basic sandwiches and... More

I am here from out of town & was recommended to go to the new brewing company. What a wonderful surprise. All 3 of us loved our food. I got one of the specials, scallops atop a bed of spinach, mashed potatoes & crispy sweet potatoes topped with a lightly sweet sauce. It was perfectly cooked. I was thrilled that... More

My mom and I came here once for lunch. It wasn't too crowded at the time. We both got clam chowder and the fresh green salads with simple dressing. The salads tasted good, while the clams chowder was a complete let down. It basically tasted like it came from a can. Server was nice and I know for college students... More

Great beer and food selection. Pub food at it's best. Service staff is always pleasant. Can be very crowded and parking is not always easy. Don't sit outside if the sounds of drag racing on the main road will bother you.

Paula and I stopped here for lupper after dropping off our trailer. We were greeted by the hostess when we came in and asked if we wanted to be seated in the pub, outside, or in the dining room. We chose the pub. We got in a great table in a very noisy, but invigorating place. It's obvious that everyone... More

Atmosphere of the Willie Brew is pub like, hell it's a bar. Very clean with lots to look at. High ceilings are throughout the pub and so many beer taps on display. The bar is impressive and looking around the remains of the post office can be seen. While I only made it in the first dining area by the... More

My family has eaten at the Willimantic Brewing Company several dozen times since the summer of 2014. We stumbled upon it by accident while driving by on a warm summer afternoon. We ate a portion of their monster-sized nachos on the patio, got a flight of their craft beer and a couple of burgers, and were won over. The nachos... More

Hello! I would like to start by saying thank you for your continued patronage throughout the last few years. It is because of guests such as yourself that we feel such pride and enjoyment in what we do. In saying this it is disheartening to hear that recently you feel things have been on the decline. I would enjoy having... More

Description
The Willimantic Brewing Company/Main Street Café is a living landmark restaurant and pub brewery located in Willimantic, in the heart of rural northeastern Connecticut. Our original Main Street Café was founded in 1991, and began operations as a small deli in the old Capitol Theatre building on Main Street in Willimantic, CT. Occupying both the lobby and concession area of the theatre, seating was limited to 50 people. After 3 years we were bursting at the seams and made the move to 877 Main Street, another historic building. There we expanded to a full service restaurant and featured American craft-brewed beers and an extensive menu. One more move was in the cards for us, and we made yet another trek down Main Street to our home in the current granite and limestone 1909 U.S. Post Office Building.
