It's attached to the hotel and it's easy to miss with all the things in downtown Lewes BUT it is fantastic. I had the soup and grilled cheese, my wife had the lamb burger and both were superb - and the bar was not the least bit short on their adult beverages - great drinks and generous pours. Everything about... More

I walked around the quaint downtown Lewes (and parking is still free through April) and had the pot roast and a Guinness at the Rose & Crown. It's an attractive British stile pub with a friendly bartender. Hadn't had pot roast in quite some time. There were ample portions of beef as well as veggies including string beans. The meat... A well known pub, but go for the burgers-best ever. Perfect char on the outside, rare and juicy inside. The burger with blue cheese, bacon and caramelized onions is a wonderful version.

We stopped in for drinks and dinner the night we checked in to the Hotel Rodney (the Rose & Crown is in the lobby of the hotel). The restaurant was beautiful, we had great beer and wine, and then I had an awesome burger and fries. My wife had a salad, and added shrimp - she loved it. We hung... More

Modeled after an English pub, the food is authetic and wonderful... fish and chips, shepard's pie, etc. the decor is an intriguing blend of old and modern, works quite well.

The cup of Manchester mushroom soup was outstanding; the pork was extremely tough and flavorless. The potatoes were good but the green beans were not cleaned and the stems were left on. The rolls (looked like slider buns) were brought at the end of the meal. This is not usually the case for this restaurant. Overall, very disappointed.

Invited to this popular Lewes watering hole by new found friends. Atmosphere superb. A little touch of the British Isles. Food equally British in character - bangers/ mash, shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie, fish and chips, etc. Room left on menu for local seafood favorites as well. Many craft beers available as specialty drinks - Sangria made with hard cider,... More

Stopped in for happy hour and enjoyed some wine along with a fried calamari appetizer. The coating was crisp and the calamari was tender. Two thumbs up! However, I ordered the fish and chips, another fried food item, which was not good for my tummy. It tasted great and the fries were crispy until I added too much malt vinegar... More
