Visiting friends and this was recommended to enjoy some Columbian food. This restaurant did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and prompt. There is an extensive menu that gives you plenty of options. Two of us had fried whole fish with rice, plantains, salad, beans! I prepare these kinds of food at home and the food here was prepared wonderfully.... More

A friend of ours recommended this place for lunch. Since am vegetarian I was a little skeptical but still visited and am so glad I did. I didn't have too many options but the ones I had were good. I tried the veg platter which consisted of four sides. I chose lentil stew(soup), yellow rice, fried sweet plantains and salad.... More

I went to Cali Viejo the week after Christmas with my brother in law. We were welcomed by Pamela who was very attentive and courteous. The food was rapidly served. The portions were very sastifactory... I mean delicious. I can definitely recommend Cali Viejo.

Whether you're from Puerto Rico, Colombia, Cuba, or any other hispanic country, you will find it here at Cali Viejo. Food is always good and plentiful, and the bilingual staff very friendly.

On a Saturday evening while visiting the Brandon, FL area, my son and I decided to skip the usual franchise restaurants and try something local. Being able to speak Spanish, my son found a Columbian restaurant, Cali Viego. It’s a small restaurant in a strip along Brandon Blvd (State Route 60) on the western edge of town. After reviewing the... More

I have gotten the take out Cuba sandwiched here a few times and they are great so I was anxious to try the dining room. My wife and I went to dinner and the food wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either. I'm going to stick to the Cubans.

Everyone at the restaurant was friendly but they don't have 1 server per table so it got a bit confusing. One person took our drink order, another took our food order, another brought our food over, another brought the check over.......a little bit of madness. We also sat at the table by the bar and thought it was unprofessional that... More

Authentic South American food cooked to order. Large sharable portions, smaller salads included with the meal. Salad was small but so fresh and delicious with cilantro I wanted more. However there was more than enough rice, beans, tostones, pork chop, beef, chicken, shredded pork, and whole fish! Nice atmosphere, very clean restaurant. Also fresh bakery goods and deserts. Picture of... More

If you are in the Tampa / Brandon area, this is a must, especially if you like Columbian or Latin food. Service is excellent and so friendly. But even better the food is absolutely fabulous. I will never miss a chance to come here. Prices are great and it's a nice casual atmosphere. I promise you won't be disappointed.
