The service was outstanding. The atmosphere was wonderful. The food was great! There is even an area when you can buy gifts and locally made products. Five of us ate together and all had great meals. It was fun to walk around the downtown and visit a women's shop (Patricia's) and other Young & Co. and Mountaineer Coffee. There is... More

Egg scramble was awesome, asked for grits with feta cheese. No problem, and it was delish. Has a Bohemian feel that made this old hippy feel right at home. If you are looking for peace, love and good food, this is the place to come.

This is a lovely venue with exposed brick walls and tin ceilings. Still decorated for Christmas in mid-January is a give-away about attention to details. My husband ordered a grilled cheese but got a cheese flatbread, I ordered a grilled vege flatbread and when they didn't have mushrooms I asked for extra peppers and onions and would have been fine... I appreciate your review about the Bistro. I am sorry about the mix up with your order. I read your review to my staff and we are working on our communication. As for the Christmas decorations still being up is all on me. Hope you come again for our tomato soup More

We stumbled upon Brooksville en route to Anna. Maria Island. We thought our only breakfast option was a chain just off I-75, but the very helpful, informative woman @ the visitor information center told us about The Rising Sun Bistro and we are SO glad she did. A quick 10 mile drive from the highway brought us to this charming... More

Restaurant is housed in a restored downtown retail store with ornate ceiling and such. The food is very good but limited to what we would call "special preferences". Not a just "put on the feedbag" eatery. Specialty sandwiches and the like in a "living room" atmosphere. Great place to bring guests for a quiet, relaxing lunch. Good selection of take... More

Surprisingly tasty even for dinner. They are open for dinner just a few nights a week but the lunches are amazing too. My only problem is the kitchen needs better ventilation because the oil burns my eyes all the way out in the dining room.

Charming old historic building with artsy atmosphere lends for a laid back place to enjoy a good meal. Original tin ceiling with local artwork on brick walls. Nice variety of starters, sandwiches, and flatbread pizzas on the menu prepared with ingredients from local farmers. Check the blackboard for daily specials. Friendly staff and excellent service. A great place to meet... More

We went to Brooksville for the day and had lunch at one of Brooksville hidden gem. The place was very big and quaint. Loved the puns on the blackboard behind the bar. The food we had was exceptional and delicious. We will be back to try other menu items and other specialty drinks.

The atmosphere is pleasant in this historic neighborhood, complete with Civil War Memorial Mural around the corner. The locally produced goods offered in the small market is a nice addition, supporting other local small businesses. The kitchen could up their game in terms of the flavor and preparation of the food. The Bistro Burger I had was dry and non-exciting, as... More
