Read the TripAdvisor reviews and booked a time. Yes it looks like you should turn around when you pull up, but what a great experience and a fun time we had. Great food, great prices, great people. Tried to get back for a second time but ran out of vacation.

Wow where to start! Cute, very casual, eclectic place with incredible food. Don't judge a book by its cover pulling in, just go in. Started off with a line of sample appetizers-free, and absolutely deliciously flavored meals. The owner Al was equally charming as well as our server Sidney. I thought prices were cheap especially for what you get! We... More

Our first visit the Moorings was a pleasant surprise. This funky Key West style restaurant is lots of fun and has great food to boot. The owners love to give you samples plus they even provided us with a bottle of liqueur to go with the complimentary dessert. The seafood here is fantastic the atmosphere is fun I would highly... New England Mooring, SE 16th Pl., Cape Coral, Fl. Here is some chit chat and my 2 cents on the food. Chatter. If you know of this eatery, you should go more often. If you never have heard of or been to you are missing out. This is a funky kitschy restaurant that is old school Florida. Granted the outside... More

The food was fantastic, but the personal treatment of each and every guest is what really makes the experience special. BTW, the food was far better than the fish place just up the street; far better value too

Our group of four were impressed with the cordial welcome and the owner's attention to our tastes. He was most generous with samples of appetizers and even a sample of one of the entrees we were interested in. Al is most anxious to please his guests and leaves no stone unturned to do so. Everyone of us finished our entire... More

We went to dinner last night, food selection was excellent. The kids had vidallia scrod and shrimp scampi, they loved their selection. Adults also ordered a variety of wonderful food. We ate outside on the patio. Al whel

Food is excellent, Service is even better. This place is not one of the cookie cutter jernts so common in EVERY CITY. How DARE they not try to copy everyone else. Even a Larry Bird jersey hanging from the ceiling. It's a down-home place. If your a snobby snob snob, you might not like it, but if you like good... More

A few lines to introduce myself. My name is Al Whelan, I am from Boston and worked at a famous "waterfront dive" known as Kelly's Landing. A seafood business in a Catholic community with lines down the street, literally. I worked there for five summers and enjoyed every minute of it. My first date with the counter girl (she couldn't resist a man in a paper hat), my first kiss, etc. One rule was demanded, cooking with clean oil! In those days it was lard! Today we use canola oil both on the grill side and on the fry side... Most of our dinners are on the grill side. Fish shrimp, scallops, steaks, ribs, chicken and pork round off our menu. Our Irish Connoli is like a little piece of heaven and our homemade bread pudding is to die for. Both topped off with sweet whipped cream. We've added a 6000 square foot patio surrounded by trees. A truly private and romantic spot. Also some added features such as, a basketball cage, beer pong table and corn hole court.
