Our dinner for New Year's Eve was quite a let down along with being way overpriced ($125/couple). Small portions (my wife & I each had three greens beans & two carrots), middle-of-the-road service, etc. Definitely could not recommend to anyone.

NYE dinner (at $125.00 per couple) was terrible. Tiny portions, mediocre service, and way over priced. We'll never go back. Sure hope the Island Room at Cedar Cove reopens soon !!

The Island Hotel Restaurant fed me the best meal of my 10-day road-trip. Casual atmosphere in an historic old space, friendly service (Dawn is a hoot), and fresh-baked rolls. My fish-scallop combo was perfect. The crab bisque at the next table smelled alluring; next time.

Seafood Elizabeth was superb - baked scallops and shrimp. We chose to eat on the screened porch from which we could view the cottaged bedecked with Christmas lights.

We had a great Christmas Dinner. I had the Seafood Elizabeth (crap cake on top of shrimp & scallops) very tasty. Had to ask what one dish was Pear casserole it tasted ok just too sweet for me. I also had the tomato bisque very good and plenty of it. My husband had the pork tenderloin with mushrooms he really... More

We had appetizers in the pub - stuffed mushrooms and clams. Both were average and over priced. We stayed for a night in the Hotel - quaint and clean, but a little shabby. Breakfast the next morning was good.

The Island Hotel is a landmark - 1859 - and on our first visit to Cedar Key we were looking forward to dinner in the dining room or the pub for our first night. We opted for the pub for a more casual evening. The pub menu is inviting and reasonably priced. My husband had the Neptune Seafood Pasta which... More

We were only in town for the day and dropped into the hotel. A great lobby that takes you into another time if you want to escape the 21st century. Desk clerk was very friendly as we snapped photos. We were even invited to a wedding but had to decline since we were informally dressed but the groom-to-be did not... More

Hands down and recognized by many, this is the best food on the Island. It's fresh, a variety of offerings, historic Palm Salad. The service is friendly and exceptional, the location historic in the 1859 Island Hotel. Charming and yummy.

Third time I've celebrated Thanksgiving at the hotel and it just keeps getting better! Great small bar, food was outstanding and service was great! I'll be back.
