This place was visited once for dinner and we would not be going back. The server was wearing dirty shorts and dirty sneakers. The thrash can in the kitchen was filthy. The food was for the most part either frozen or re-heated. My chowder was a re-heat and not overly hot at that. After we had finished our starters the... More

Oops - This review was miss-applied to a different restaurant. Here is the review for the right restaurant - The Cape Codder. New England away from New England. A clam and lobster place reminiscent of Mass beach town places. The clams are whole belly and fried to perfection. The French fries are outstanding and plentiful. The lobster salad and rolls... We had heard good things about the Cape Codder and decided to have an early supper there. The outside of the restaurant doesn´t look very enticing, but the inside is sort of quirkly and inviting. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and suggested a interesting local beer to try, a Florida lager, which was light and refreshing. For eats... More

I love trying the local restaurants when traveling since they often have wonderful food. The Cape Codder was no exception. We visited just before the evening crowd, so it was practically empty. The waitress sat and chatted with us near the end of our meal. The lobster roll was out of this world! I can't wait to visit again.

This is a quaint little restaurant that you might be tempted to pass by. Many of the customers on a Thursday evening were regulars as evidenced by the friendly welcomes given by the waitresses. The New England clam chowder was different but meaty and tasty. Really enjoyed the platters of oysters, clams, shrimp, cod, and catfish.

The Clam Chowder was excellent! I can't remember what else I ordered, but I had no complaints! It's also located very close to our house so I'm sure we'll be back.

The Cape Codder may look a little "run down" to some eyes, but for those of us who spent our youth on the New England shore, it is a perfect reminder of that time! The restaurant was clean, and the food was fantastic. The cold lobster roll was even in a split buttered toasted bun, as it should be, and... More

Wow! after re-reading these reviews, we must have definitely hit it on a wrong night! We went on a Friday night, at dinner time, and there were several empty tables (should have been clue #). We grew up in NE and ate lots of fried clams and other NE seafood in our time, but living in Florida for the past... More

We went here for dinner. You might just drive this establishment and not stop because its small and looks local. Don't make that mistake. Anyone can eat in a chain restaurant but this is local food with the bent being toward seafood and New England. The interior is basic but clean and friendly. The food is good. I had a... More

The Cape Codder is a little hole in the wall family run restaurant that has great fish! I had the blackened haddock which was delicious, and my friends had lobster rolls, which they said were great! ( we are all from Boston and picky about our fish) The coleslaw was perfect ( I do not like a lot of mayo or... More
