Beach walk cafe is our special place. We go there for date night, anniversaries. Birthdays. The service is casual but elegant, there’s no rush. We live in Niceville so this is a regular for us. In light of recent price increases at local restaurants, this beautiful restaurant obviously tries to keep its prices reasonable. But that doesn’t matter to us. Beach Walk is still special to us. The fried chicken is out of this world and such a generous serving, we had it for a meal the next day. I love fried chicken so it’s hard for me to order something else. But I’ve never had a meal there I didn’t love. Make reservations!

Beach Walk Cafe is always a night to remember. From the stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico on the bar deck to the cozy ambience of the dining room. I do find the food extremely pricey (especially as a Canadian where our dollar is at 70 cents on the US dollar) but generally very flavourful and beautifully plated.
My Starter was the wedge salad which was delicious. This time I had the chicken because I had had my fill of fish. It was underwhelming with too much salt in the batter and the chicken was a bit tough. The potato mash was so so. No garnish on the plate. For $45. My dinner companions had the Snapper and the Shrimp and Grits which they loved.
Our waiter Hunter was beyond exceptional. Very knowledgeable and well trained to be attentive and friendly but not intrusive.

We were looking for a "nice" place to eat for our last night on Okaloosa Island and very glad we found this place! First of all service was great. I ordered a martini with blue cheese stuffed olives and the waitress hand stuffed some olives with real blue cheese and they were excellent. We had the house salad, grouper and red fish along with brussel sprouts, all were excellent and would have again. The place is little pricey, but for a special night out it was great. Next time we will try to going during the day to take advantage of the view.

The cafe has a great relaxing atmosphere. Good location, easy to park. My wife and I had a 7:30pm reservation, got seated at 7:45. I ordered the filet and my wife fried chicken. From the time we ordered to when our food came out, was an hour and 15 minutes. I had to ask the waiter to check the status of our order. He came back out, started clearing tables and never updated us. Just about to give up. The waiter said our order got lost on the flow, we have a small kitchen. I ordered my steak medium, it came out rare. Asked for it to be cooked a bit longer. About 15-20 minutes later, my steak was brought out, it was medium rare. (My wife was just about finished). Again, not how I asked my steak to be cooked. My wife’s fried chicken was good moist and tasty, but It was a whole chicken way to much for one person (my opinion)
For the price, I am assuming you are paying for the ambiance, and not outstanding food. The quality, does not justify the price.

Our "toes in the sand" experience was good and probably something to try once, but not worth the money in my opinion. The table set up is cute and romantic, but they put us at the far end of the beach, so instead of looking at the Henderson Inn I was looking at kids on the beach and other properties. They faced the table where only one of us could view the sunset and fireworks. There were a lot of flies. Our waiter was attentive and polite, but for an extra $325 (they automatically apply the gratuity to the total price including the $275 set up fee) I felt the rest of the staff should have been more involved to make it feel special. There should also be a complimentary hors d'oeuvres, or small dessert or some little surprise to make you feel like it's worth it. This was the most expensive meal we've ever had a a couple and the others that were behind it made you feel more value. My filet and dessert were excellent, but the grouper Vince was way too much breading / crust for one plate. The Inn itself is very cute, i would think they'd have something to read about is history or try to sell these "high- end" customers on coming back, but they didn't.

We have dined for years at BWC. Food (Snapper, Fried Chx, Grouper) was great save the Brussel Sprouts on the Blackened Snapper special... they were raw. I must say that the service after we got our salads/apps was VERY slow and lacked professionalism for the most part which, in our experience, is quite unusual. Our new waiter ( Ed...) had trouble maintaining focus. He didn't check on us, take our plates away, ask us for dessert or after dinner drink or coffee. We had to ask host or meal runner... for service, then he just brought the check. He is personable, but, did not serve us well to our meals end. Training needed.

We’ve been to the Beachwalk restaurant many times over the years. It’s one of our favorite places to eat in Destin. It’s the perfect place to grab a drink at the outside bar and watch the sunset. Our bartender, Robbie, was very friendly and made amazing drinks. Our dinner was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Our server, Edit, was attentive and very friendly. My husband and I both ordered the Red Snapper special. It was served with creamy risotto, Madeira mushrooms and thin fried potato sticks. It was the best meal we had during our 3 week stay in Destin. It’s why we keep coming back year after year. Can’t wait till next time!

The snapper and grouper were absolutely the best seafood we’ve had in at least a decade. Presentation, portions, seasoning were all perfect. The sides of green beans and potato cake were also delicious.
We shared a slice of in house made key lime pie which could have been a little more tart but still, I would rate a 9/10.
Our server was very attentive and personable offering just the right amount of attention to our table.
We will definitely be back when we visit the area again!

Really great location with a wonderful view. Peaceful and elegant location for a meal. The food was decent. Two of us ordered the filets which were great, one person ordered the tuna and that was also stellar. The fourth person in our party ordered the snapper which was extremely salty. The service was sub par given that it’s a white tablecloth establishment. Our waiter, maybe checked on our table 4-5 times throughout the duration of our meal and that included bringing the drinks, appetizers, and meals out ; as well as taking the orders. We finished our meals and sat there for some time before anyone checked on us. When he did arrive we asked for the check and he completely ignored the request and suggested dessert. Perhaps we did not fit the look of the patrons they are accustomed to.

Was great to be near the beach in a nice romantic quiet setting. Our anniversary dinner was special and the waiter was very attentive taking care of us. The seafood wes very delicious. We had the snapper and the tuna and both were great.

Fantastic, intimate setting for a special occasion. Beautiful beachside location within the Henderson Beach Inn. Our server Edit was so kind and helpful navigating the menu to accommodate my gluten free needs. Our meals were cooked perfectly and were delicious. Everyone we spoke with was friendly and professional. We will definitely be back for birthdays/anniversaries in the future!

Absolutely Amazing!!! The atmosphere was perfect! Had a window seat and watched the sunset as we dined. Our server was an absolute professional and recommended the best wine, starter, entree, and dessert. The food was even better!!! This experience deserves more than a 5 star review! We would go back to Destin just to eat here again!

We ate breakfast here with our family on Christmas morning. Everything about the experience was outstanding. The hosts, our waiter (Dexter), and the chef all came to our table to see how everything was and to wish us a Merry Christmas. I had the avocado toast which was fabulous. Others at my table had the eggs benedict with salmon and the breakfast burrito. Do not miss the scones! They are made fresh when ordered and absolutely fabulous. 10 out of 10 and we will be back - next week, in fact!

Wonderful date night, with my wife of 38 years!
The setting was historic and beautiful … not a bad table in the restaurant as we relished in all the colors of a beautiful sunset.
Our server was very professional and attentive. We chose the seafood feature (snapper) which we consider one of our favorites … ever.
If you visit Destin, you need to grab your best date and carve out some time for a special night out at this restaurant.

I had high hopes for Beach Walk Cafe, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. I ordered a wrap that sounded great on the menu, but it arrived without the tzatziki sauce it was supposed to have. Without it, the wrap was dry and underwhelming.
What really surprised me was that the meal came with a small bag of Vicki’s potato chips as a side. For the price I paid, I expected something fresher and more thoughtful, like a house-made side.We also ordered iced tea. The first glass was very cloudy, to the point that it looked like a bloody mary. At first, we didn’t think much about it. Maybe it was a different kind of tea than any we had ever had. The taste was okay. Then we got a second glass of tea.. Oh my, the difference was night and day. It looked like iced tea should look and tasted much better. We should have never been served cloudy and I’m assuming old tea.
Overall, the meal felt overpriced for what I got. The quality and presentation didn’t justify the cost, and I left feeling disappointed.
I would like to add though that our server was wonderful and very attentive.
