The atmosphere is very nice and the service is great. The wines by the glass choices are limited and pedestrian. I had a delicious appetizer of breaded eggplant medallion topped with crab meat, but my wife's crab cakes were mediocre. The side salad that comes with entrees was very good. My blackened redfish was very nice, but the grouper with... More

Parking can be tough and maybe a little wait for your table if you did not have reservation ahead of time. Having ordered the Eggplant Orleans for appetizer set the bar so high. But like everything else it depends on personal preference anyway. And so we ordered Bayou Grouper and Jambalaya for our entree and both are okay/good, just not... More

This was my favorite meal in Destin. Yes, it is expensive but the food and service did not disappoint.

The food and atmosphere were wonderful. We had scallops appetizer , shrimp and grits and grouper w/almonds it was spectacular. We chose from the specials menu. Our server Joel was a great help with our order. He also suggested to be careful with the hush puppies as you can fill up on them and the meal is a large portion.... More

Thanks to Joel and the management for another great dinner at Louisiana Lagniappe. This is a "must" for my 85-year-old father-in-law. He's been a customer for years.

When my husband who does not enjoy seafood offered to take me here, I knew it would be good. But it was fantastic. Pricey and worth it. A kind, attentive server, and even tolerated the chicken finger eating teen we had with us. My favorite seafood meal ever!

This restaurant has a multicourse special meal which includes wine and is a great value. The food is wonderful and the view of the harbor is beautiful. Highly recommend it.

While my hubs quite enjoyed his dish I didn't care for mine. I had the etouffee. My kids dined with us and the menu selections were pretty slim for them. Beautiful views an beautiful service !!

We went with a group of friends for dinner and everybody enjoyed their meals and drinks. I'm a transplanted Cajun (from a small town near New Iberia) and was looking forward to a taste of home. Unfortunately, Lagniappe isn't that. It's more of a seafood restaurant with a Creole flair. They only have two traditional Cajun dishes: gumbo and jambalaya.... More

This was a great place. I have had plenty of grouper over the years and this by far was the best. The service was excellent and the pace was enjoyable. I would recommend the two for 49 Mon-Thursday

Description
In 1984, Louisiana Lagniappe was opened and established inside Sandpiper Cove condominiums in what was at one time the Sandpiper Cove Yacht Club. A loyal following was quickly established due, in no small part, to the quality of the food and the attention to detail of the service. In 1998 The Southern Restaurant Group took ownership of the restaurant with a commitment to maintain the same level of food quality and service. Since then, Louisiana Lagniappe has consistently served only the freshest seafood and steaks. Now open year round, Louisiana Lagniappe is the spot for a memorable dining experience on all levels. In 1999, a second Louisiana Lagniappe was opened in the San Roc Cay Shopping and Marina Complex in Orange Beach, Alabama. Offering the same fine Louisiana seafood with a Creole flair, the attire is casual, yet an upscale waterfront dining experience is provided for the entire family.
