This was recommended to us by others who frequently visit Fernandina, and I'm glad we took their advice. Our dinner was wonderful. My husband had a special snapper dish that he enjoyed, and I had delicious scallops. We did make reservations. We had wonderful service and particularly enjoyed that the restaurant was quiet and clean.

I travel a lot and visit restaurants around the world. On this ocasion it is relevant to say that I have spent most of my life in Portugal and Spain. I came to Espana Restaurant since it was highly recomended by local people and also looking at its rating in Tripadvisor it should be amazing! But big surprise.... it is... More

This was recommended by several people while we were visiting Amelia Island and did not disappoint. Many types of sangria and reasonably priced wine and beer. We had paella which was excellent. Great salads. Ceviche not what I was used to, but okay. Great atmosphere and small. Excellent service.

From the outside it is not as fancy or modern looking as other restaurants in the area, but it's about the food. We happen to see another couple that we met at the bed & breakfast and ate with them because it was pretty busy. We got the Chirozo appetizer and Paella Valencia, both were great. Would definitely go there... More

The ambiance, in my opinion, is better than the food. It's downtown in a very good location and is quieter than lots of your other choices.

We love this place have come here for years as a couple and as a family. Tonight, as always, the service was great, the sangria was wonderful, the salad with fried goat cheese was excellent and the atmosphere is very nice. However, the paella seems to have lost its kick. The Rustica seemed to have had a lot less meat... More

A huge portion of seafood delight. Mussels , shrimp , scallops , a rich boulibase broth , warm crusty bread , in a romantic atmosphere. The Tirimisu was light and decadent. Service was excellent. The courtyard was closed but we will go back just to sample other entrée's and sit outside....

Description
The traditional flavors of Spain and Portugal are highlighted in all our dishes here in the heart of historic Fernandina Beach. Sip on homemade Sangria or enjoy a glass of wine from a list of hand picked selections (International and Californian). Choose from a menu of hot and cold tapas, "just caught" fish or meat entrees including the national dish of Spain, Paella. You can choose to dine in our cozy main dining room, bright enclosed patio dining room or lush garden dining area which is open generally Thursday - Sunday and weather permitting :) Chef Roberto is a second generation restaurateur, with over 28 years experience. He endeavors to make your evening a memorable one by bringing both his own family recipes, and inspiration from trips to Spain and Portugal for you to savor and enjoy. Family owned and operated since 2004. The Original on Amelia Island!
