Finally went to Catfish Deweys for dinner. This restaurant is always packed and parking is a challenge. We went on a Sunday at 5p and lucked out finding someone leaving and scored there parking spot. There was a large crowd at the front door but we called ahead one hour to get on the list for seating. After a 15 minute... More

After viewing the extensive menu at Catfish Dewey's I finally decided on the Mahi dinner. (All You Can Eat is wasted on me). Our visit was on a Sunday afternoon approaching the end of the lunch service. The hostess who seated us set a friendly tone and was kind enough to offer a small sampling of Catfish as I was... More

If you love seafood and lots of it, this is the place to eat. Catfish Dewey's has an extensive menu of seafood dishes and all you can eat specials that will please anyone who likes a generous portion of many types of fried, blackened, or grilled seafood. However, the quantity comes at a price, not the dinner price, but a... More

Old place. Menu is good. Had their Mon & Tues 'all-you-can-eat special, for shrimp, crab strips, catfish. Large portions. One serving was very filling, and fried just right.

An "Old Florida Venue", well worthy of a good reputation. Our second visit we confirmed a varied menu of mostly shellfish but fish available cooked several ways. Many items fried but the batter crispy and light on the shrimp, a little heavier on the clams. The scallops serving was large and we had take away every time. Drinks from a... More

Okay, the atmosphere ain't much. That said, the food is superb and the service fine. We've had and recommend the catfish (of course), the fried oysters, the blackened shrimp, and the very best fried shrimp I've ever enjoyed! This is an "old Florida" venue. Absolutely worth visiting.

The building is not a ritzy, upscale building, but the food is delicious. Service was good and we had an overall good experience.

This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Lauderdale. I have been going for years and is the only place I go for stone crab. Everything is fresh and the prices are great. Yes, the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. But you don't go there for atmosphere. Besides stone crab another must order is the fried... More

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the seafood is great. I've been coming here once or twice a year to get the in-season stone crabs, always excellent. Last time here, told the bartender I've never actually had catfish, and two minutes later had a fresh filet t try! Nice tartar sauce, light breading, very nice, just not my... More

Nothing fancy just great food! If you want excellent catfish, shrimp and mahi it's worth a trip here. Their Early Bird menu is great. Complete meals for $12.50. The minute you sit down you receive homemade coleslaw and hot hush puppies. I had shrimp, my husband had catfish and our friend had mahi-mahi. You get a side with meals and... More
