One of our party of four wanted stone crabs, so we tried The Stoned Crab. We were delighted to find that we could park in the spaces reserved for the hotel guests of the adjoining facility. The food and service were very good. The restaurant would probably be deemed "pricey" by most, but you have to consider the location. The... More

The food is good but the place is out standing. it is open and on the water. It is well designed to give all people at the table a view. We did fish and chips. It is a bit expensive but worth every cent!

Our last night in Key West, we dined at the Stoned Crab. Famous for its fresh seafood, especially the crab, it was a fun experience. It's a busy, load venue but a very fun place where the crab is fresh and the beer cold. Great service too.

Wonder place with 2 boats that fish daily. They have a small seafood market as well. Catch of the day came in parchment paper and was absolutely delicious There crab soup was just as good and both came to our table steaming hot.

Hi Dan, Its nice to know that somewhere Catch of The Day actually means it was caught that day. Sounds like you saw one or more of our boats come in with their catch. I get excited every time because its always great. Thank you for dining with us. We appreciate it. And thanks for helping other diners know what... More

The stone crabs were dry and I think a little old. Hey it was a good lunch and plenty to eat. The salads were delicious.

George, "Them's fighting words!" Our claws are fresher than anything in Miami because ours come straight from our own boats onto the restaurant dock with no trucks, no shipping, no middle men in between. I take it you live in Miami so we will excuse your comparison as just local pride. ;) Seriously, thanks for coming. Chris More

You get what you pay for and that is true here. I guess you can say that Key West is a pricey place to visit but this meal was the most I have spent for two in a long time. The food was great and well prepared. The staff was great and we really enjoyed our meals there. You might... More

Hey Tony, Thanks for the compliments. You are right about Key West costing more in general. Because everything costs more, it costs us more to serve our fresh, local seafood. But as you found out, it was worth it. I hope you both get a chance to come back soon. Chris More

Service was fine. Parking sucks. Calamari was slightly undercooked and came with 1,000 Islands Dressing as the dipping sauce. Wife had the crab cake sandwich with a salad. The crab cake was dry and the salad didn't seem very fresh. I had the fish and chips. The fish was undercooked. The craft beer on tap, service, and location is the... More

Hello Stephen, I don't believe you. We are SO strict on every last detail. If a single item of our food was as you described it would not get past our kitchen expeditor who inspects EVERY plate before it goes out to be served. Also we wouldn't be ranked by Zagat as "one of the hottest restaurants" in Key West.... More

We chose to eat at the Stoned Crab on our last night in Key West after seeing the menu in a magazine in town. We hoped in the car and drove there (it was not within walking distance of Duval you really need a car to get here if staying in that area or a cab). When we arrived there... More

Hey Ellyanne, Thanks for taking the time to write your review. Its hard to suppress our server's enthusiasm for the local seafood we serve here. But it sounds like it got in the way of you getting prompt service. I will go over that with our servers at our weekly staff meeting. They don't do it to impress you. We... More

We visited for an evening meal. Our server was attentive and efficient. I had the crab stuffed lobster and would highly recommend this dish. I ordered a side salad and it was huge, but crisp and delicious. Another in our party had the lobster ravioli. Puffs of pastry were cheese filled with generous chunks of lobster on top of the...
