We rented a cart and headed down to Mallory Square to have some fun. It was really hot and we found ourselves walking past Captain Tony's Saloon. It was time for a cold beer and a comfortable bar stool. The bartender was attentive and friendly and the beer was excellent and not expensive although the poor guy in this photo... More

Supposedly a favorite of Ernest Hemingway, Tennessee Williams and Shel Silverstein as well as where Jimmy Buffet, got his start. The bar has a mediocre beer and liquor selection but nothing special and the music was just ok. Coolest thing is that it was built in 1851.

We wandered in on a Saturday afternoon to an amazing singer/entertainer who kept us singing and laughing for hours. The bar is quirky and really fun and definitely worth the visit! Great music, great atmosphere and great staff!

Service was great....nothing like having a cocktail with thousands of bra's staring at you.....The fish above the door is great fun.....try to toss a quarter in its mouth over your head backwards. AND the door man......Kenny..... nice to look at!!

Maybe part of the schtick of a dive bar like is for the bartender to be rude and treat you like you're an idiot for ordering a beer they don't stock. Otherwise it's your typical bar with dollar bills and bras stapled everywhere. It is fun to try to get a coin in the mouth of the big fish above... More

It's just one of those things you have to do. It's where JImmy Buffett got his start. The original Sloppy Joe's is full of history and has it's own unique atmosphere. Live music most anytime. Dollar bills, business cards and bras from past guests line the walls and ceiling. Drinks are good. Staff is friendly. You have to stop in... More

This was recommended as a 'must stop' by my husband who last visited during his stint in the Marines. Worth going in for a piece of history. Staff is friendly, drinks are good and well priced. There's enough bras and dollar bills hanging from the walls to cover the island :-)

We have been to the area many times and each time we check this place out. Wish they had Yuengling lager on draft.

Such a unique bar. The history in this place is amazing. We loved that all of the original signed dollar bills, business cards, photos, etc. from past guests were still proudly displayed even when showing obvious signs of age and wear. The bathrooms were pretty gross but pretty much what is to be expected from such a historic bar. Would... More

Great spot to get drinks! The walls are covered in dollar bills, and there's great live music. It's right in the heart of everything.
