Cap's place is a fun experience. You are taken there by boat to this unique restaurant on the inter-coastal.. Food is wonderful. Atmosphere makes you think Ernest Hemingway will come to join you. Don't miss it if in the area..

Went 2x in the past 3 months. The first time, it was the day of the storm and the place was empty. Just one other table had patrons. Our waitress, Melissa, was "crazy good"! Had time to stay and chat with us and gave us many insights about Cap's Place. We ordered a myriad of dishes - the crab cakes... More

Great evening in a perfect setting. Sure the food was outstanding as well. We started with the shuttle boat from the marina to the island. How great with the bay and the intercostal surrounding you at dinner. The captain of the shuttle gives an energetic historical account of the area and restaurant which is the oldest surviving restaurant in Broward... More

Four of us had dinner here last Thursday night and it was absolutely spot on. From the welcoming bartender to our server Melissa, we could not ask for better. We highly recommend the crab cakes and yellow tail snapper. If you're in this area, do not miss Cap's Place.

Great place for history of the area. Food is usually good but not always consistent. It is mostly a fish place. You can go casual or nice.

We parked easily using the website directions and enjoyed the short boat ride to the restaurant. Our reservation was at 5:30 and the first boat picked us up about 5 minutes prior to that. The boat only holds 19 people, so it was the honor system as to who arrived first to take the first boat over. Dinner was amazing!... More

This restaurant is very interesting to visit. You have to take a ferry to get over to the restaurant and the ferry driver tells you interesting stories about the restaurants beginning's. The food was very good but they were out of so many things including their special of crabcakes. It almost became a joke because everything a friend of mine... More

While there is road access to Cap's, there is no parking, so the address given is a parking lot on the other side of the canal where you embark on a launch for the restaurant dock. Cap's is an authentic former speak easy and rum runners retreat, and it appears to be kept in a state of impending collapse. Even... More

Had a reservation for 7:15. Upon arriving we were told they were behind and it would be an hour longer. After waiting an hour or so we were seated after another wait we were given water and rolls. Two groups of four people were seated after us, were waited on and drinks received and order taken and we were left... More
