I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. Always get the grouper sandwich so I can't speak to the rest of the menu but the grouper is great. Service is always great. Very casual sports bar at atmosphere. Great view of the bay...More

I had a cup of their chowder. It's the best I've had in Matlacha!!! The outdoor seating is great with a nice view of the water.

We had a great time! the Hypnauticals were playing, the place was jamming, the food was really good! Service was great- never without attention with for more than a couple minutes. We will definitely go back!

One of our favorite places to dine when we are in Florida. Fun, old Florida style and on the water. Our food is always delicious. My husband loves the clam chowder. On our recent trip I had Chicken Tacos -- very tasty -- if you...More

This is my kinda place. Live music, awesome service, super cool locals, and the place has been there since 1939, does it look like it... a little but that's why I love it! Food was good, I had the wings and homemade chips and I...More

The fish they use is Swai which has no consistency at all. The breading is fine but the fish is so mushy that you could drink it through a straw. It may be all you can eat for $9.99 but after just a few bites...More

After being in the area for 6 years we headed out to Matlacha. The bar did live up to all we had heard on the years. You enjoyed live music and the view.

Bert's is not fancy, that's for sure. The place looks like it could use some fixing up. But I guess they like the rustic look. It's really the food that makes Bert's so popular. Get there early for lunch if you want to find a...More

I don't see why you couldn't, but I would call ahead of time to make a reservation so they can group the tables and chairs in a way you can all sit together.

If you go for lunch, I'd suggest making it at 1:30 or so to avoid the crowds. We went at that time, had unrushed excellent service, and REALLY enjoyed the steel drum/jazz/folk artist.

Description
75 year oldtime Waterfront Restaurant and Bar with a Million Dollar view. Local seafood. Both local and national entertainment with no cover charge. Recommended by Southern Living, Coastal Living, Florida Travel & Life, Boston Globe, and American Airlines to mention a few. Quality food at reasonable prices. Great place to relax, enjoy the view and perhaps to see dolphins and/or manatees.
