You need to eat at MOFONGOS!!! The food is authentic and true to the amazing Puerto Rucan sazon or rich enticing flavors of the Caribbean. Every item was PERFECT in presentation and in spices, delicious like Abuela’s home cooking! The alcapurrias, excellent, the Mofongo stuffed...Chicken was extra yummy with arroz con gandules and salad! My cousin had the Zarzuela de Bacalao which was a delightfully delicious treat to the palate. But the icing on the cake are the two EXTRAORDINARY BARTENDERS that made the best drinks ever - Sangria was artistically delicious and served with a smile. Daniel and Daivon know how to keep customers happy and are outstanding cocktail mixers - extremely excellent customer service! We will definitely be back for more! Came here twice when I was on vacation. Loved the food and the atmosphere. The plates of food were huge and very tasty. The waitresses and other staff were very friendly as well. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone.

We ate here last night for the first time. It was my husband's birthday, we love Puerto Rican food, and had been looking for a new restaurant to try in the area. It was so good. The service was excellent and our server, Frank, was...outstanding. Great personality, very professional, and a lot of fun. He arranged for them to sing happy birthday and everyone in the restaurant joined it. Kudos to Frank and the rest of the staff - they really went above and beyond. And the food was some of the best Puerto Rican food we've had in a long time. Everything was delicious from the bacalaitos to the churrasco, arroz con gandules, etc. The guys had Kan Kan and loved them. The presentation was really nice too. We can't wait to go back! This family restaurant located on Calle Ocho just east of 17 ave. is a great place to enjoy traditional portorican food with great service from Yasmani and very reasonable prices. I enjoyed the Mofongo with pollo in red sauce. The only downside is the limited...street parking.More
