Founded in 2011, Azucar is open from 11 to 9 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 to 11 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 11 to 10 on Sunday. Popular ice cream spot right next to Ball and Chain in Little Havana. Came here for dessert after eating at Sanguich, which was about a 10 min walk away. There was a line but it moved quickly. Samples are available. Unfortunately the Burn in Hell...Fidel flavor wasn’t available, but I got the Abuela Maria, which had guava, pastry, and cream cheese in a waffle cone. I got a drizzle of guava syrup on top as well. It was sweet and creamy - perfect for a hot day. He employees were friendly. Definitely get a napkin or two for the inevitable ice cream droppings. Solid ice cream but I did not find it anything special. Cafe con leche need more coffee flavor but I enjoyed the Oreos. Very smooth texture. I enjoyed but tasted pretty standard
Wonderful ice cream shop to taste exotic, tropical flavors and different ice creams. Worth the visit and worth the experience. If on 8th Street, Little Havana in Miami please make a stop here - you won't regret it.
